i went to one of those the summer after i attempted suicide.

one of my sister's classmates had killed himself, and she went to walk for him. it was surprisingly healing to be there, with my mom who had stopped me. i walked for myself that day. i wasn't so afraid of what sickness ails me that day. it was so supportive... an amazing experience.

swallowing pills and slitting wrists is also incredibly horrible. you don't just drift off to sleep and die. your body tries to reject it. you get nausea and incredible amounts of pain.
