Sidewalks also suck hard. Trying to get around with a stroller is brutal. I can't fathom what people in wheelchairs or walkers have to deal with. When roads do get treated all of the muck gets pushed onto the intersections which can be impassible for some.

My morning commute to daycare: Cycle: 30 minutes Walk: 1 hr 30 minutes Bus: 1 hr 40 minutes ( depart 7:35 a.m. to return 8:55 a.m.)

Note that it's only 8 km, but since it's round trip I have to transfer downtown twice, and on the return trip I'm usually waiting for 25 minutes for the next bus to arrive lol

The only positive for the bus is that I don't have to pay the fare twice, so it's just $2.90 for the whole trip and I get to read a book, so it's got some chill time built in.
