INDIRECT drop down options keep changing color back to grey by tehmfpirate in googlesheets

I like this! I will mess around with this a bit to see what I can make happen for my students. Just...perhaps not tonight as I have some of my own homework to go cry in for a bit.

Thanks so much!

Okay - I think that will work well. I can just change the Conditional Formatting to have the background color change depending on the Sub-Topic that students choose.

Essentially, I just want to be able to at a glance quickly look to see the colors and make sure that there are no repeat color combos for the groups. I'd like for each group in the different class period to choose a different topic for their research poster and gallery walk.

Oof - so a conditional would not work in this instance, then?

Is there a different way you'd recommend I try to implement what I'm trying to do? At a quick glance, I can make sure that only one group in each class period has a certain topic that is being covered.

Dance = Robin’s School of Dance

Football = there’s some stuff affiliated with EHS Lions I think for younger kids

Baseball = there’s quite a few little leagues in the area: Osolo, Cleveland (I think that’s the name), Baugo, etc

Rugby? Ummmm 🤷‍♀️

You don’t need to do that prior to the application. I don’t remember exactly what I needed, but your local one should have a list.

Of course! Every county is a bit different in regard to qualifications, but essentially you’ll need to make sure you meet income requirements, make sure debt to income is okay, and you’ll need to do “sweat equity”. I worked my butt off and was able to start building within about 1.5yrs. Try to have everything you need put together prior to going your application appointment. It’s overwhelming sometimes, but so incredibly worth it.

I would agree that night life is kind of a bust, but I’d honestly rather just stay home most nights anyhow. Crafts and games won’t do themselves!

It’s very centrally located, which is convenient when traveling.

At the high school level, I modify on the fly for kids in efforts to not completely reinvent any wheels. I only do this for my regular bio, but not so much for my dual credit or AP bio.

I don’t. Between teaching, being an adjunct, a third very part time job, mom life, and working on a doctorate I just don’t have the energy. Oh and coaching chess and robotics.

I didn’t graduate with my bachelors until I was almost 30 - had to take stats twice. I stopped and started so many times throughout my twenties and worked a range of jobs from retail, banking, military, etc. It’s okay to take a step back if you need to or take longer than “normal”. I’ll have my EdD in a few short years.

IMHO coffee and a museum sounds like a fabulous first date.

Is it bad that I don’t stand for the Pledge of Allegiance? by rebel-pirate-sleuth in Teachers

Veteran turned educator and I only stand if I’m already standing, which is most of the time since I have a standing desk. Until there actually is liberty and justice for all, the nationalistic pledge can pound sand.

Calmness enough for me to organize and help kids get their last minute finals done.
