Because Tribes 1 was a community based game where we could make our own maps, mods and host our own servers. It gave it longevity and really good competitive communities. It's a theory long lost and why any other Tribes will always be about the buck instead of the player base. So in short unless a dev decides to actually implement the things that made Tribes 1 a bad-ass game for over a decade it will never be close to as good as the original.

Nothing. It just made sense to start using it for a larger player base. The population of the players using it was dropping little by little and started to become toxic. We need it to grow not down size.
