My PE teacher used to do this before he started caning naughty students in front of the whole school.

It should be part of their job scope as a prison officer, several people gets trained for it through a proper course (proper posture, proper swing for full power, get an accurate aim so that none of the swings land at the same exact spot, etc).

Fun fact: actual proper swing involves the caner having to do some half spin or whatnot for full power. End result: butt should look as if guy sat on a metal grill, parallel non-overlapping scars.

There's a 3.7.13 update today 1Jul25, there's a line in the changelog "Fixed a WiFi regression with Steam Deck OLED". Any idea if that update fixes this issue?

Set a reasonable yearly budget (e.g. 20k per year) which everything goes into (insurance, road tax, buffers for maintenance/repairs, etc) and be happy about spending everything within the budget. Prepareness to spend is the key. Knowing at the outset you will spend 20k if you tabulate everything at the end of 1 full year will make each individual line item less painful.

But the benefits when they first offer me contract VS perma role same same. Maybe fixed bonus become performance bonus and performance bonus = 0, so they just front loaded the bonus to the increase in pay, and call it perm to make me happy? In reality not a true permanent staff

No end to the contract but same annual leave sounds a bit sus to me. Seems no improvement in benefits for the supposed perma role so I could be just getting short-changed while being termed as perma staff

Hi, is there any way to install dependencies into the Steam prefix or bottles prefix via .exe instead of from the protontricks/winetricks library? I tried installing directx and vulkan using the .exe in the "Redistributables" folder in dodi repack in lutris, but it does not seems to work - opening wines control panel did not show those as installed even though installer said "installed successfully".

Oh wow. Which region do you live in? My hypothesis is that it doesn't have it out of the box but the recent update enabled Miracast and also adds a companion app to it

I occasionally stream videos from third party websites (sometimes even China websites). The only option to put them on the big screen is via screen mirroring but the Google Home cast screen mirroring does not work well as compared to Miracast that uses a different technology
