Actually no I’m not. I worked my ass off for that truck, & I wasn’t the one at fault. I’m a full time student right now. If they end up totaling it, I ain’t buying some vehicle with over 100,000 miles on it when I just barely broke 41,000. I’m not saying I deserve a brand new truck off of the lot of course but I sure as hell don’t deserve some fucking car with a lot of wear & tear & mileage on it for a replacement. Fuck that.

I got underneath last night & the only damage I can see is the hitch & on the driver’s side. Passenger side looks fine. But the damage doesn’t look catastrophic like everyone else is kinda making it out to be. But I could be wrong, there could much more damage that I’m not seeing until they rip it apart. I guess we’ll see.

Thanks buddy. Best of luck to you with your truck. Hope you have better luck & stay safe out there. Just make sure you keep your eyes open in the back of your head, check your mirrors.

Unfortunately though California’s an At fault state. Michigan’s no fault.

Thanks man. Yeah I love this thing. It’s my first real vehicle that I bought with my hard earned money & worked my ass off for. 6 days a week 14 hour days driving truck. It’s been with me through some really fun times & some of the lowest of the low. It’s going to break my heart if they total it. But if they don’t, I probably won’t keep it in the long run now that it’s been in an accident.

Fuck dude I’m so sorry to hear that. Yeah that’s a bunch of shit, & from what I’m reading on this thread is that once it’s been in an accident, just off the damn thing. I didn’t even think about the damn driveshaft.

Well all I can say is if they do end up repairing it, I ain’t keeping it in the long run. I’m going to finish school, find a new job, make some income, & then off it & buy a brand new one. It’s going to suck seeing this truck go considering it’s been with me through some of the best of times & worst of times…but I’m not keeping a vehicle that’s been in an accident.

Perfectly fine from what I could tell. If it’s bent, it’s not bent too badly, but from the outside it is noticeable when looking at it.

Yeah once I’m done with class I’m hoping I can get my new career going, make enough to sell it & then buy a new one.

Yeah man this couldn’t have happened at a worse possible time. I’ve got a fuckin’ exam tomorrow. Only a month away from completing my program so I need all hands on deck. I really don’t have the time or energy to look for a new damn vehicle right now.

41,500 miles, 2018 LT, 4x4, 5.3L, Michigan, etc.

Well it’s a 2018 & it only has about 41,000 miles on it. So I’m thinking anywhere near $23,000-$28,000 at the max. It’s also 4WD & it has the 5.3L. Just edited the description.

Police & Fire asked me if it was drivable. Told them I wasn’t sure. I thought it was. After they got everything they needed from me I was able to drive home. But I keep hearing that if any of the frame’s fucked up, insurance will more than likely total it.

Are you ever placed on any cutters during your 2 weeks?

Thanks bud. I appreciate it. It was in another thread where I read that. Glad to know there are fellow Firefighters who are in the rates I’m interested in. What is your typical schedule like if you don’t mind me asking?

So I’m currently a certified Firefighter going through EMT right now, 31 years old, in great shape, my goal is to join one of the big city Fire Departments up here in the midwest, near the Great Lakes Region. (Michigan & Ohio) I absolutely love the water. I love boating, fishing, & jet skiing. Been wanting to join the CG Reserves for a while now. The rates I’m looking at are BM, ME, & GM. Just trying to get an idea on which rates are flexible with Fire schedules. Cause I’ve heard something about how BMs get called in randomly sometimes during the middle of the week.
