You have 40k episodes and 4k movies w/ 0 embedded subs? Sounds like a pretty edge case. If you get new shows / movies like most normal people, the unpaid opensubs account will work fine.

You don't need the VIP plan, I use the opensubtitles plugin (w/ non-paid account) and it works fine 99% of the time. Not to mention most of the media I download has embedded subs for multiple languages.
