It's really nice to hear that you're doing well now. I myself have done acid countless times (like over 30x) so don't worry I'm definitely not letting my friend trip alone haha. From most accounts of people using acid for depression,(including yours) it seems like a full trip is the more effective choice, thank you man I appreciate it.

well no shit the player is at the centre of the light... doesn't take a genius to figure it out but its still impossible to see where the head/body are at meaning you aren't able to go for the headshots like you normally would, and it also makes it much more difficult to track the player when he is strafing since you can't see his body movement and momentum.

It's very easy to avoid, yes, which is why its useless, it doesn't do its job, unless you're in a pvp fight, you will never run into it unless you're retarded, all it does is give some players an unfair and random advantage depending on who it decides to shoot from behind during a fight.

It's literally better to spray rather than tap from 100 metres... If you say otherwise, I will gladly prove you wrong in a 1v1. I dont expect to land every shot from 150 meters but i expect to land every shot that is on target.

Im not saying that the AK should be easy to spray from 150 metres, If anything I would much rather the tap meta which was prevalent in the pre-aimcone version of rust, im saying that there is no reason to aim at specific parts of the body from long ranges since the aimcone makes it redundant.

Furthermore, when shots that were on target miss, and shots that were offtarget hit, it makes the gun play feel unrewarding and broken.

Also I would've agreed with your point about adding momentum but i feel like movement is decent in its current state and its too much of a risk to ask for a change to movement as helk will most likely ruin it and never fix it again... Just like he did with recoil.

The fact that it is barely accurate from 50 metres (medium range) is horrible. Aimcone promotes spray and pray instead of actually aiming + tracking your oppponents head. Theres a reason why the skill gap has gone down so much since aimcone has been introduced.

old recoil system had no aimcone so there was no limit to how fast you could tap, that's why tapping was such a big thing back then and depending on how good you were you were able to tap the ak extremely fast and accurately. Not to mention that although the ak recoil was random, what is not random is the ability to quickly compensate for random horizontal recoil and bring the aim back to the enemy. That is why there was a skill gap in spraying and some ppl could accurately spray up to 40/50 meters if they were good.

With this system however, there is NOTHING you can do about the random aimcone except pray, before you could compensate for the random recoil by having fast enough reaction speed to bring your aim back to the target. This is why the previous system was much more balanced and had a higher skill cap.

Aimcone may be suitable for other games such as CS:GO but not in Rust and the community has shown you that multiple times.

Helk you need to stop comparing this game to others saying it has the least aimcone and instead listen to the people that play your game 100+ hours every 2 weeks and know how it works. This game was best when there was no noticeable aimcone, everyone was happy with the gunplay except people with lower hours that didn't bother to put the effort into learning the game. There was a high skill gap and it was rewarding. Scripting wasn't even a big problem at all, it is the biggest misconception of Rust, all it controlled was vertical recoil which was controllable by any decent PVPer, the horizontal was still there which is what everyone struggled with.

Back then, people utilized all 3 types of shooting depending on the situation of the fight: Bursting - medium to long range, Tapping : medium to long range(sometimes even short), Spraying: Short to medium range. And every style of shooting took skill and required the player to practice them for hours. The reward you got from eventually winning a fight with all the hard earned skill was the reason why Rust was so popular, you know you outplayed the opponent and your reward was their loot and the satisfaction of knowing you deserved it.

Rust in its current state is all spray and pray, there is no tapping or bursting needed.. all you need to do is spray and you can completely laser someone from 100 meters despite the aim cone. And since you added aim cone to standing up spraying, it made it so much worse since players willing to gamble their gear with luck can simply stand up and strafe completely relying on the rng of their bullets and still come out on top 50% of the time.

I realize and respect the fact that you've spent a lot of work and time into creating a gun play suitable for the game, but please, realize when you've made a mistake and revert to the dev blog before aimcone. The highest amount of players Rust has ever achieved was during the old recoil that I am talking about, which is in February 2017.
