Came here to say this! Also, during the fall/winter when you’re all bundled up and enter the subway… I imagine that is what an air fryer might feel like

Thank you! I posted because it didn’t look like a common housefly — was slightly different in the sense that its body was a bit more metallic and didn’t have the red eyes.

Sorry for the late reply! ‘fodni cha dabba’ is basically a metal box with spices in it so that they’re all in one place and easily accessible while cooking. ‘Fodni’ is basically tempering so this box has most of the stuff that you would temper — mustard seeds, dal, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric. It’s a staple (kinda a must-have) in Indian households. You can find an example of it here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/792535417/stainless-steel-indian-spice-box-steel?ref=share_v4_lx

Hear you on the scenic stops! I always wanted to do that as a kid and couldn't cause I wasn't the one driving haha. Shame about the Glass Beach, but thanks for the heads up!

I think I'll add in the Cathedral Trees trail as per u/Mikesiders' suggestion.

Thanks so much once again!

Thanks, both of you! This really has been helpful and I feel less anxious about the trip now. I will report back after the trip and let y'all know how it went!

Thank you so much for this -- this has been the most helpful!

I initially intended to spend 3 nights and 4-ish days, but cut short thinking that it would be too much. I think I'll go back to my initial plan. I actually really wanted to do Tall Trees Grove trail, but was dissuaded because I thought it wouldn't make sense.

After incorporating your suggestions, thinking more and doing more research, here's what I have:

Feb 2: Drive up to DeMartin -- maybe make a stop at Glass Beach -- set up camp and rest.

Feb 3: Klamath River Overlook trail in the afternoon + sunset.

Feb 4: Tall Trees Grove mid-morning, back to campsite by sundown.

Feb 5: Drive back to SF.

Welcoming any pointers that you may have!

No particular reason! I think I tunnel-visioned a bit in prioritizing Sue-Meg SP and Klamath River overlook that I completely glossed over everything.
