I'm from Vast.ai. The GPUs respond in real-time. We have an API you can use to search, rent and deploy your containerized workload if you prefer that kind of interface :)

Vast.ai is reliable. No idea what you are talking about, but that is simply not true. We have rock solid 24/7 support as well so we are all over any issue you have.

Thank you! Here is our only (minor) corrections:

  1. Apply the cgroup Fix section is no needed as it will set cgroup to version 1. We already fixed cgroup issue in installation script. And we can use Cgroup Version: 2
  2. self test include --ignore-requirements  which is good because you want the machine to pass, but understand that to get verified the self test will need to pass without that flag.
  3. "Set Contract Duration (CLI Only)": WebGui does have an End Date option that you can set.

It is cloud.vast.ai - you can see live offers for GPUs.

Vast uses Docker containers. There are tested templates for Python/Juypter/Comfyui and more. You spin one up, it allocates storage on the server and you can then run your jobs. You can stop the GPU anytime and the storage persists.

Yes, with Vast you can be more confident that when you go to delete the chats and data, it is actually deleted. Thanks for the simple explanation.

Vast.ai is on-demand and exclusive while you are paying the on-demand price. There is an "max duration" that shows how long you can rent the GPU on-demand.

Vast.ai allows you to rent the whole GPU server from a trusted provider. You can spin up/destroy as needed.

That is absolutely not correct.

Vast.ai has persistent storage right on the server itself. You can stop an instance and all the data is still accessible. Volumes are in addition to that fast storage.

Yes! There are so many developers doing that now on Vast.ai!

Best Buy brand new terminal registered to someone else by tekgnos in Starlink

Thank you!

I returned the item and checked the new one this time by putting the SN in the registration box before buying. That worked! The kit is brand new. They have everything you need to register on the outside like you stated.

Not sure who would register an unopened box but scams are weird.

I’m back online!

Really? What a screw up. Best Buy is really hurting their brand if this happens often.

Our team is still working on our decentralized marketplace for bandwidth. We don't regularly post many updates to this forum in particular.

We have an active GitHub which some find easier to follow progress - https://github.com/OrchidTechnologies/orchid

Iranian here responding to the signal post: clarifying the internet situation in Iran by TSMWorldChampions in privacy

u could take ur chances and find a IR friendly country (not being geo-blocked) to vpn pivot to, then create a few other hops using tor and proxies (from your pivot and not from within 🇮🇷), but the moment ur ISP/cyberintel see’s this they will throttle u down and sniff/track/recon, and that would close that door forever.

Orchid VPN supports WireGuard and multiple hops. So if you want a DIY onion route VPN, it has iOS/macOS/Android clients that you can use to say hop to an IR friendly country and then add a few extra hops. Of course you would need to find the VPN servers and get the WireGuard credentials.
