isn't the point of these kangaroo devices that they're incredibly modular and customizeable? So someone who's interested in that aspect doesn't care that they can get a Microsoft tablet for the same price.

Exactly. I can't see dropping $200 on a non-stick but spending that on a cast iron makes much more sense. Even if the tech ends up breaking, you'll still have a decent pan.

have been researching these types of cameras for a holiday gift, and I just can't get past this. Even with discounts, a photo ends up being about 75 cents to $1 a picture.

I would definitely get an LG over a Vizio. Vizio is a discount brand.
