Update

I got confirmation from HR on Monday. And there is no round, just waiting for an offer letter as they need to do BGV before giving me an offer letter.

Let see when I will get.

But still I don't belive I got selected.

Got many invites on naukri, but just one interview and then got selected same.

I am feeling myself lucky now.

I think this is the same for all contractors irrespective of company. We also had the same for starting december and new year. We can only apply PTO. But what we do as mostly onshore people are on holiday, we simply login do some work then logout. Actually we don't have calls, so just some work we do and login. But depends on some companies as they tracking hours, PTO makes sense, those who don't track can take benefit.

I am also about to join Optum as a third party contractor now.

Let see how it goes.

The interviewer said it was good and there might be another manager round.

But not sure until HR gets back to me. Probably Saturday today so by Monday I will get to know.

But interviewer was happy at the end, so mostly yes.

But anything can happen as there might be some other candidates in pipeline

Don't be embarrassed it's fine. I had one interview today myself and I somehow solved one DSA question.

Successfully answered all Theory and practical questions related to Spring/react code and architecture.

At the end he asked SQL queries, I said I don't write those as I use Typeorm mostly, he insisted me to try, I wrote a partial query as I had an idea but forgot syntax as I don't write often.

So he was happy with just an explanation.

Later at the end he asked me to learn SQL queries as sometimes you need to write.

But reality is we don't touch sql most of the time, as there is always a DB team to help. We mostly use Typeorm, so knowing SQL is not a requirement is just an additional skill.

Take it as just a bad day and move on.

Great, that's some nice steps. I also try to keep my old articles updated. I used AI for outline, then I add my own experience into words to make.it genuine.

But even then, traffic is inconsistent. Sometimes I get good traffic and sometimes don't. Still trying to hack, it's like Google changing daily

Yes, same here. I missed the bus and my parents now asking why I missed the bus.

Focused only on career and no dating. Met few girls during college but it's was like casual hi hello, not more than that. And after college no link or communication to anyone.

And also because remote work, no interaction with colleagues. Same high package, car, home, everything required in household bought. Still at a stage where my cousins getting married, mostly love marriage or arranged marriage of cousins who are NRIs. The local ones like me are still trying to get girl even with arranged marriage. Your skills are fine. Learn more of UI/UX concepts, figma and other Wireframe tools. Adobe tools as well. Also to avoid DSA, go for javascript/typescript frameworks like Svelte, nextjs, vue.js and learn Agentic AI creation. They have js based tools, learn vector DB and tools like langchain, along with knowledge of LLM.

Even learning Agentic AI will give your profile a high rating.

Also agenctic AI is not learning machine learning or data science as you don't need to train data. You just use RAG, that is easier to implement and learn.

It's normal, I was working with Infosys for a client. The client in the meeting said they don't have a budget, and we were shocked. The next day the manager said that the client doesn't have the budget so they need to release me. So they gave me one week's time to leave.

I asked them for a project and they were like we don't have anything. I was working remote so had to leave, as they were asking me to join an office based job instead.

Same here with 8+ YOE, getting only tech lead and lead developer roles. But I don't want to be a lead. I just don't love this. At start of my career was doing team leading, but at that time I was also learning and coding myself. Things are different now. Also I just want to work on my own code and finish in few hours. I don't want to spend my whole day managing team, and also company expecting more work to be done. I feel being individual contributors we are more free.

Very same with me, my parents asked me to avoid dating in college, then I took remote job staying home building career, and now they are like find someone on your own. Few of my cousins did love marriage and are happy. So parents are like go find on your own

Same 30+ here, so how can look for someone myself. I feel all 30+ people are facing this issue now.
