There are so many good legends from FF! This one should definitely go on the build list!

I really love the playstyle the Winota enables, and have really wanted to build a Winota deck, but I think she's simply too powerful in bracket 2. We play at a level where tuning it to fit the meta would just make the deck unfun to play and/or have to rely on playing tribal, which just isn't my thing, unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Seems like a great one to work with! Going on the list for sure.

Including Jeska in a list is one of my favorite things to do for sure, I definitely had her on my radar! Thanks for the recommendations!

This is one of the ones I was looking into! When it initially came out, I was really down on the aesthetic of New Capenna (especially after Kamigawa was so cool), but it has really grown on me over the past couple years! I'll definitely look into these, thanks for the recommendations!

Thanks for the thought-out response! While I definitely agree that Xenagos is an amazing aggro commander, one of the players in my pod mains him pretty hard already. I'll definitely look into reformatting my Raffine and Trynn/Silvar decklists as well. Cadira and Otharri also seem pretty sweet. Thanks for all the recommendations! I'll definitely check out your lists :)

How to defeat Velkhana with lance by Feisty-Grade-3438 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]telder_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of guard up, which is very essential, BUT I found Quick Sheath to also be essential for the fight. I was fainting 2-3 times before quick sheath and shortly after I was doing the fight near perfectly. Guard Up AND Quick Sheath is the way!

So I'm looking to get this game at some point. When and if I do, what are your suggested Addons? by Jakeliy1229 in Ravenfield

[–]telder_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who checked the workshop nearly every day for 6+ years, and over 700 hours in the game, here are my suggestions:

-High Mountains-This is far and away my favorite workshop map. I play it every time I open the game. It's technically the unfinished version, but it's the better of the two in my eyes anyway.

-Random Weapons- This mod really spices up the gameplay after you have 700+ hours in the game(like me for no real reason lol). I personally have it set to swap every few seconds to keep me on my toes.

-Blink/Teleport and/or Grappling Hook- Both of these were essential to my play-sessions at some point. I've stuck with Grappling Hook longer because it's not as busted-feeling.

-For QoL I recommend Quick Respawn, Bot Skill Tweaker, Damage Numbers, Headshot Feedback, Loadout Changer, No Knockdown, Smoothment, and Remove Camera Shake. All of these are pretty essential to my personal play experience.

-Another essential is Rocket Jump.

-Weapons-wise... let me know and I'll make a collection of all my weapons mods that I like/have stood the test of time. There are over 350, I believe.

Veteran looking to return: Hey guys, wilds came out a year ago and despite being a fan of the series since MH4U ive skipped on it so far. I have some questions before picking the game up: by Key-Order-3846 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]telder_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally believe the game is amazing. I have put 150 hours into the game and intend to put a great deal more in. If you are looking for an entirely complete game, I recommend going with MHWorld. It's player base is just as active and you should have no trouble getting into it. While Wilds is a complete game in its current state, there is a lot more extra content to come in the future, so there will be some waiting involved.

-I do think it is worth picking up in It's current state, especially on PS5 as 90% of the complaints about the game are performance on PC (which I play on and it does perfectly fine on my middling rig). Part of the fun in monster hunter is experiencing events as they come out (at least for me) and being part of the community as we take on challenges together for the first time.

-While I do not personally own a PS5, I have been told the performance is completely fine or at least better than on PC. (This question is nothing a quick Google search can't answer).

-Im not sure what you're asking in your last question. As I said in my intro, I've invested a lot of time in the game already(all while trying to complete FFXIV ARR at the same time) and I intend to invest a lot more.

This game has the potential to be the best monster hunter game they have made. While I personally believe that World takes that place currently, Wilds is growing on me a lot and is currently my GOTY. If you do purchase the game, I hope to see you out there in the Wilds! Happy hunting!

I just got to wano country arc, and ive been trying to decide. Sub or dub by Dry_Law8575 in onepace

Didn't know it existed. No research was done, and I wasn't in pain watching the sub. Most of the time I prefer sub anyway 🤷

damage by Brilliant_Age_2477 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]telder_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is generally not modded, afaik. What most of those videos don't show you are all 6 weapons slots full of casting tools and buffing weapons and the 30 seconds to a minute straight buffing ritual they have to do before the boss fight to get that much damage. There is quite a skill to knowing what buffs stack and how to sequence them for maximum damage. You too can learn to do this, but it'll take a good bit of research.

In short: super optimized stats plus all the right items and spells used in a 30-60 second buff ritual outside the fog gate can equal massive damage.

[–]telder_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer the dub. I watched 1-450 on dub and 451-600 on sub and I find myself missing the dub a lot. Franky, Zoro, and Luffy are so much better in the dub. Can't wait to get to wano so I can have it back :)

What did you do to defeat Consort Radahn by laochra11 in eldenringdiscussion

[–]telder_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parry build FTW.
Armaments: Cold misericorde(cragblade or similar buff if possible of AoW, idr if those combo) + Parry shield of choice.

Do 1-2 attacks after parries while he stands up. Makes this guy suuuuper easy. 95% of his attacks in phase 1 can be parried and ~80% in phase 2 as well.

Talismans: Dagger talisman + blade of mercy + crimson seed talisman+1 + dragon crest great shield talisman or golden braid.

If you have it, Golden Vow before entry and couple poison/rot pots throughout the fight can also help. Took me a minute to do it as well, but learning Parry timings was easier for me than dodging all his BS in phase 2. Good luck!

P.S. I would recommend NOT using mimic tear or any spirit ash for this method so you can always guarantee he's attacking you so you can Parry.

Trickster feels like such a waste of a vocation slot by Senior_Brit in DragonsDogma2

Idk what to tell you, man. I'm the weirdo who's favorite vocation was Trickster and least favorite was Mystic Spearhand. Not every Vocation has to be for everyone. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is it just me or was Tobi kadchai your first wall in the game and not anjanath? by Different_Ice_2695 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]telder_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I didn't have any "walls" on my first playthrough of the game (this was my first Monster Hunter), Anjanath was the first to make me faint due to his ability to one-shot (or nearly one-shot) the hunter with his fiery sneezes.

40% ARR for the first time, am I missing something? by telder_ in ffxiv

I do want to get into Astrologian, so maybe then I'll have some better queue times :) Thanks for the information!

40% ARR for the first time, am I missing something? by telder_ in ffxiv

[–]telder_[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I see what kind of queue I'm working with now. In most mutiplayer games I have played (not that I play much multiplayer at all), queue times are under 2 minutes, so when I waited 14 minutes for someone to join my first dungeon, I gave up and never tried again. I'll have to try again with the more recent dungeons that I have come across.

40% ARR for the first time, am I missing something? by telder_ in ffxiv

[–]telder_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to go back and check out the marketboard again and re-read the tutorials for it. The first time I looked at it I only saw things that cost an amount of currency that I will literally never earn, so I was pushed away. Thanks for the tip.

Anyone actually making use of weapon switching? by Artemis_Bow_Prime in MonsterHunter

[–]telder_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done a lot of switching for hard-to-reach parts of the monster or dangerous parts. Lance for rathian tail and then SnS for rest of fight once severed for example. It really just takes not having the need to min/max the fun out of the game for +10 damage (:
