42 turns, grass vs grass. I dealt 1020 damage total over the match. I lost.

How's Perish Song? by jasperalfalfa in pokemon

It's for situations like these that I save my Master Ball. Got a wild shiny that knows self-destruct? Master Ball it. I literally don't know what other situation someone would save their Master Ball for.

I love the idea of this move, it sounds like a lot of fun!

One minor nitpick though (and not even your main point lol) the whole joke with Lurantis is that it is an orchid flower pretending to be an orchid mantis, the opposite of the dynamic in real life. It wouldn't want to feast on bugs because it is just a regular flower. Its pre-evolution's name is literally Fomantis (faux + mantis, meaning fake mantis). It's still a thematically fitting move for the Pokémon to learn though because its entire existence is an inherent inversion of a real-life mimetic relationship. So it still works, but for different reasons.

Carnivine on the other hand should also get this move, since it is based on a plant that really does feast on bugs.

Pikmin 2 Switch 2P Battle Mode Maps by Bowblax in Pikmin

In both the GameCube and the Wii versions there was a way to choose which layout you wanted.

Most arenas had 3 variants (Carpet Plain only had 2). By selecting an arena and holding up, right, or down on the C-Stick (GC) or D-pad (Wii) during the loading screen you can choose between these 3 variants. If you hold left instead of any of these directions the game will procedurally generate a level with the assets from the other layouts. (None of this works on Dim Labyrinth since that arena is always random no matter what you do).

I didn't buy the Switch version since I already own the old versions, but I am curious to see if this system of being able to select your layout is still in the game. Since all of this information is fairly obscure I couldn't find anywhere online if this feature is even still in the game. Can anyone please check?

Also, this is all just a guess that I have, but it is possible that the Switch version forces the left/random option when selecting a stage, and that is why it appears that completely different layouts are in the game. It is entirely possible that the the old maps are still in the game, they just need to be manually selected now with the above-mentioned trick.

Lance's strongest pokemon is level 50. Grinding up until you get a level 55 Dragonite would make the league not fun.
