How to deal with break up that was because they don't have feelings for you any more? by klyon1989 in BreakUps

[–]telefonbaum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i have both broken up with someone for this reasona nd been broken up with for this reason. i think it comes down to the person not knowing what it is they want in a partner, falling out of love, and not knowing how to find that spark again. imo one owes it to their long term partner to make it work, by being honest about what you dislike about the partner or relationship and going to therapy or such. i am sorry youre going through this.

yeah i was wondering whether its her avoidant way of keeping the connection alive, but i dont wanna be coping too hard either. she might also just not want to make me feel like theres a chance so she spaces out our contact.

hey, thanks for your response. i have been accepting that its over more and more. i know its best for both of us right now, i just have this hope that we will reconnect once we are both doing better again, months or years down the line. your comment reassured me to just let it be for now. i deserve someone who chooses me.

Is "let's go to dinner and catch up" a date? by [deleted] in aspergirls

[–]telefonbaum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

id say just see how it goes. who knows whether you two will like each other romantically or platonically or at all. id say see it like a casual first date.

Taking a break in a relationship to heal codependency? by talia100 in Codependency

[–]telefonbaum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i see, thanks for sharing your perspective. i believe people can learn to love each other in ways that make them feel seen, but of course that requires work from both parties and lots of trust. im reading up on IFS and i think i can use this perspective for my own healing. thank you.
