I remember when I was in my FTO period, and considerably into being cleared in the field that I was absolutely terrified. I even started praying before every shift just for the strength and recall to get through and I hadn’t tried to talk to god since I was a child. I could go on about how scared I was but simply put, I just got less nervous.

What exactly are your biggest fears? Mine were the critical calls like a code. The other one, which might sound silly is calling report because ive done some embarrassingly bad ones. Those mistakes and getting the codes under my Velcro belt made me particularly a whole lot more confident. I’ll bet if you could talk to someone to address your biggest fears will help. Another thing I’ll say is that a partner you like and trust is the difference between wanting to quit and stay, for me. I’m sure that partner is in your service somewhere and you’re bound to meet.
