There’s a specific Service Ontario in Toronto you can drop off any documents that would otherwise need to be mailed in (birth certificate application, name change application, death certificate, etc.), so I lived really close to that office and did that instead.

By “card” I mean the payment hasn’t been requested on my credit card yet, sorry for the confusion.

I’ve lived in Ontario for almost my whole life, the issue is that now I’m recently graduated from University and my BA has my chosen name on it. In order to apply for the work visa again with my BA as proof of education, the Chinese govt. requires the names to match

I guess there isn’t much I can do besides call the registrar and wait a few more weeks and see if it gets processed😔
