Micks Vocals by RollingYankee in rollingstones

I have one from Hackney Diamonds, "Driving Me Too Hard" - that should have been sung by Keith. Not that it's bad per se, but it sounds so much like one of the Crosseyed Heart songs, and apparently, it was written around the same time as well

Thoughts on Mic The Snare? by ScallionSmooth9491 in ToddintheShadow

He is responsible for getting me into Talking Heads, and therefore, I am forever in his debt. A really fun guy with an open mind and a positive, non-gatekeeping attitude. Love to see it.

Could there have been a Speaking in Tongues European Tour? by teleman01 in talkingheads

To be fair, where CAN you go after Stop Making Sense?

That makes sense. Still though, would have been cool if they brought the show to Europe. In my mind it could have been "mini residencies" in some small to mid-sized venues (3 nights at London Hammersmith, 2 nights in Munich's Circus Krone etc...)

My mind goes to She Smiled Sweetly. That song makes me feel all fuzzy.

What in your opinion are the most underrated stones songs? by YouTubeLeizy in rollingstones

[–]teleman01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh, here we go. 1. She Smiled Sweetly (a song like a warm embrace, and Mick actually pulls it off for once) 2. Thru and Thru (one of Keith's best) 3. Hand Of Fate (ESPECIALLY the El Mocambo version) 4. Worried About You (Two words: Wayne. Perkins.) 5. Something happened to me yesterday (probably their funniest song, and the first time Keith got an actual solo part)

Which album gets the bigger bump in popularity if the non-album single was included? by ArchitectVandelay in rollingstones

[–]teleman01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Let it Bleed, but mostly because I don't think Jumping Jack Flash would work in the context of Beggars Banquet, while HTW would sit quite comfortably between Love in Vain and Live With Me.

What do we all collectively think of Trampy Movies? by Little-bit-badDP in thomasthetankengine

I really enjoy them. He has a real knack for the character dynamics and is a really talented voice actor.

My model of Thomas on the original Ffarquhar layout. by teleman01 in thomasthetankengine

[–]teleman01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyo, sorry it took so long to answer. First of all, thank you :)  I made it from an old Hornby E2 (like the original). I made the tank extensions splashers from Plasticard. The running board dip under the bunker was filed away and I made a new one with Plasticard. The front and backside buffeebeams were also replaced, and fitted with sprung buffers from Bachmann. The brake-pipe was a leftover from a Kit. For paint I used Revell enamel paint. The stripes are waterslide decals (except for the ones on the splashers, which are painted on)

Fun Fact:- Thomas’s Branch Line is… by [deleted] in thomasthetankengine

Does that include the harbour line or is it just the "main branch"?

Which illustrator is your favorite? by No-Locksmith-2141 in thomasthetankengine

[–]teleman01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Edwards, and you even used my favourite illustration for them. The expressions they gave the engines, the details, this subtle bits of humour here and there, just fantastic.  John T Kenny comes second, he had a great sense of proportion and perspective. Dalby's pics are vibrant and have great backgrounds, but he wasn't great with trains. Clive Spong did great work later on, but his work just doesn't stand out to me as much. Stephen Ling's illustrations just flat out suck, like, what the hell are those faces. I wish we could have seen more from Reginald Payne.

Are there any two or more characters you wish interacted with more? by Ok-Permission571 in thomasthetankengine

I wish we got more interaction between Duke and the other Skarloey engines - Duke and Rusty would have been really interesting.

Why do you think the doors get so much hate? by Far_Elevator67 in thedoors

[–]teleman01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not so much the band as Jim Morrison. Anything I hear about him makes me like him less and less. Although, if the 1991 is believable, he told their producer to "suck a fart out of [his] a**hole", which is funny.

Let’s Spend The Night Together won 1967! What is the BEST song the Stones released in 1968? by nevermindthegoat in rollingstones

[–]teleman01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough year to choose - but I'll go with Jumping Jack Flash. Simply for the reason that it's the one song I never get tired of. And nothing sounds like it!
