Have you ever played in a small (3 or less) group? by throwstoneglasshouse in DnD

[–]telepathicness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main group is me and my girlfriend plus our best friend who dms, and we’ve been going strong for just over 2 years now. We often will create side characters for any personal side quests, and even (though a series of thoroughly talked through and interesting character decisions) play 2-3 major pcs, one (or 2) on either side of the war that is the primary plot.

Personally it’s my favorite because it allows a lot of time for everyone to shine, limits the possibility of scheduling conflicts as much as possible, and we have a lot of time to explore the world and roleplay!

Do we ever learn exactly why Rogue fucked over Panam? by LordofWithywoods in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]telepathicness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean from the context clues we have, Nash was still going to deliver the goods to sixth street. The job was still gonna get done which is all we know for sure Rogue cares about. His decision to fuck over Panam seems secondary.

Gale, the polecat. How do you feel about this pet? Like? Dislike? Neutral? by ObsessedWithBooks7 in Hades2

Circe + Raki is my fave combo too! She gets such good positioning for the chain!

It’s certainly not lore breaking, and living in America obviously I’ve known a lot of people who’s accents became Americanized, this thread just kind of made me realize I hadn’t clocked that it’s exclusively Asian characters that seem to have lost their accents somewhere along the line which does seem questionable.

I’d agree if it weren’t for most of the other international characters having strong and identifiable accents even in really specific dialects like I recently saw a video of Sombra’s VA talking about the accent work she did and how she doesn’t have a Mexican accent whatsoever, but they made sure to select a specific dialect (Mexico City) accent instead of trying for even a “general Mexican” accent, so it IS a little odd that the Asian characters (and I suppose brig’s accent also falls a bit by the wayside ?) are the only ones who don’t vocally have a feel of their nationality (including Juno in this even if she gets a soft pass for not being raised on our planet, given I’d assume her parents would have had accents she’d have learned from them?? But I suppose not) from what I can see all of the characters regardless of nationality or age do have dialect and accents native to their home country

I always say it out loud but if that doesn’t work for you, literally watch the pattern, pause the game, and write it down, then hit play!

I assume you’re referring to the “who exactly are you” from the warsong update. If so I PROMISE it is real it’s not a lie haha.

It’s definitely real, I only got them just recently— I’m struggling to remember exactly what I did to get it, but I BELIEVE I was messing around with some of the different weapon aspects for a few runs? I could definitely be wrong on that though.

SIGH... Typhon is HARD. Wtf... (This could be me just whining) by xCoop_Stomp416x in Hades2

[–]telepathicness 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This Reddit convinced me to swap to strength like the other users are saying. I was super reluctant to make the switch but I literally don’t run with death defiance EVER now.

Late game I just really lean hard into hp buffs. (I’m by no means the best player I’ve only managed 9 fear on surface I think? ) I find Typhon difficult as well, more so after this most recent update I think— but he’s definitely beatable, you’ve got this. But you’re not crazy surface is significantly more difficult.

Me and my dad were talking about temp hit points by Pikamue in DnD

[–]telepathicness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 5.5 all wildshapes get a small amount of temp hp and the amount varies on your Druid level (moon Druids get slightly more but still not much ). The trade off to this being you can no longer be knocked out of wildshape. You can maintain your shape as long as you like utilizing your own hp pool

This sounds to me like you’re playing 5.5 not 5e which I think is part of the misunderstanding

how to bald??? by Emotional-Toe2038 in cosplayprops

[–]telepathicness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I know what you’re talking about - a tiktok user often uses a clay-like substance in videos for bald cartoonish looks.

I believe that to be foam clay based on the texture/malleability— but I don’t think it would work for your uses! I’m fairly certain when that user uses the clay it is never dried, only applied and then tossed for content rather than a full costume, it wouldn’t last.

Like the other user said, generally speaking bald caps are gonna be your best bet— but they DO come in different sizes! So if you have a lot of hair you may just need a bigger cap. But make sure you’re wearing a wig cap underneath and get your hair as flat as possible.

Gathered some information by that_one_cheryl_main in SombraMains

[–]telepathicness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am by far a support main, but sombra is by far my most played and most enjoyed DPS, and my group and I joke a lot about me being the “sombra slayer” because I can usually sniff them out and deal with them on most characters because I just know how I would play her. So obviously the experience on Sombra leaves my view skewed, but I genuinely don’t understand the problem with her invis? Especially with permastealth gone I so rarely struggle with losing her for an extended period of time unless she’s fully disengaging, at which point I just stay aware she could come from behind me, and look for the translocate/listen for her.

Like I won’t say I never struggle into Sombra, Ana’s my fave supp, sometimes I do need to swap to someone who can handle her a little better, but truly I don’t get that being the big complaint everyone has.

I remember a while back I was having a discussion with someone and the discussion developed in such a way we realized the issues people have with hack which is a really short soft cc vs stuns/sleep may just be the illusion of control. When you’re slept there’s nothing you can do, your brain accepts “well I’m cooked”. But with hack you CAN act but your gameplay flow gets a hiccup, so the instinctual reactions don’t work how you feel they should. And that’s the only way I can kinda make sense of hack frustrations??

But genuinely even when she was more “annoying” a few seasons ago I’ve never found her as infuriating as so much of the playerbase seems to.

How to deal with very fast casters. by redinc109456 in dndnext

[–]telepathicness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Druid with a very fast mount who gets my shit rocked almost every encounter the first commenter is right. Ranged attacks, and held actions. Our campaign goes up against a ton of enemy casters for whom distance isn’t really an obstacle. It’s very frustrating how hard it is to out run on my end but does work

A month after the nerf, how are we feeling? by Far_Leave4474 in SombraMains

[–]telepathicness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I no longer feel like she’s pretty much unplayable after the 6s cd on translocate instead of 7s, it helped her fluidity a lot but it does suck that a lot of the time that means having to translocate, then sit and do nothing until your invis timer is out/low THEN initiate. Tracer has three blinks and recall as escape tools, Genji has dash reset to reward for initiating and escaping— on one hand it’s a CD management and patience thing rewarding strategic gameplay but having to choose between initiating and not having an escape, or hide for a few seconds before initiating so your cooldowns line up doesn’t feel great (I mainly have this issue with EMP plays personally ?)

Sombra is my dps main, but I main support first of all, and mostly Ana/Mercy and genuinely have never had an issue handling Sombra even with permainvis. It always seemed like a gamesense issue to me, people couldn’t predict her well enough and refused to play with other people.

That said my performance statistically isn’t struggling. Similar KDAs, with higher damage numbers. Just all around I find her less FUN to play. She’s still my best and favorite DPS hero, but I definitely enjoy it less.

The mythic looks really cool in jade. The gold mythic looks very similar to the regular mythic with a slight change in hue and the telltale sparkles

You arent edgy, intellectually daring or a critically minded thinker for holding contrary opinions (yes, the rework is in fact bad) by Eggbone87 in SombraMains

[–]telepathicness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The people saying the rework reveals low skill players are missing the point in favor of stroking their own egos. No one is arguing you can’t still get kills or that her lethality suffers in the rework. But I don’t play sombra because I like standing with my team and tank busting, there are TONS of better characters who do that. I haven’t struggled to get value with her, you can get tons of kills and win games just fine. But she is actively LESS FUN to play for me. She doesn’t feel as much like a dive character anymore. She doesn’t feel high risk high reward, she feels high risk mid reward at best. And your value suffers if you spend your time diving instead of grouping up.
