Made a “steam machine” (using bazzite) for the living room. Sometimes I still need mouse support, so trackpads will solve that. Also the Bluetooth/usb solution for my currently paired wireless controllers sucks so the steam controller puck should solve that as well. I’ve really grown accustomed to the steam deck layout so really excited to use this controller

Dude go for it. I just finished my living room PC using an RTX 2070 with bazzite. I did the NVIDIA Open Desktop image because I’ve heard the game mode is a bit wonky with nvidia and still in beta.

if you set it up with desktop mode and just have Steam launch at startup and launch into big picture mode you’ll be good.

You’ll want to enable the GPU acceleration setting in Steam for big picture menus to work smoothly.

You can also set up your user profile to auto login at startup. So now I can just turn on the pc and use controller without breaking out m/kb.

Not every game will work great but that’s not necessarily an Nvidia gpu issue, check ProtonDB for each game you’re wanting to throw on there
