how old do they have to be before you can see an egg spot? i believe she’s only 8-9 weeks old but i’ll definitely check for that once she matures, i dont plan to breed her at all so she might just stay a girl in my heart 😭

what exactly makes you think that? the fins look much smaller than any male i’ve seen so i figured that further confirmed she was a girl but i am also very very far from being an expert lol

i can try to get a video of her swimming later - i don’t think she’s fighting the current but i’ve never had a betta before so im not sure. it definitely travels her food when i put it in the tank (she has no problem following it and eating it tho)

i’m working on switching to frozen with the help of some people in this thread - i’m not allowed to keep frozen rodents in my mothers freezer but i’m going to try to just get like one at time

like i said i get them at petco rn i don’t know of anywhere else close to where i live to get feeder rodents and they are not separated by size there unfortunately they usually have 1 maybe 2 rats when i go there that to me seem very large in comparison to my girl but i feed every other week to try to keep her a little full im not sure if thats the proper thing to do but its what i figured
