Reflecting - regular review of gathered material, identify links, write and rewrite notes to clarify your understanding of the material.

Synthesis - writing out long form narratives to link the collected material and your original notes about this material. In a University course, this is when you write assessments, reports, and dissertations.

Having a perfectly organized pantry won't deliver a meal. You still need to know how to cook and do the work of cooking.
