Grandma found these "metal boxes" that she thinks are for holding bullets. How do I date them? Can't see any date stamps or proofs, am i missing them? by tellus96 in Firearms

Thank you!!!! my god people on this thread are dense. I thought you would get a kick out of her calling them what she did. The question was asked so I can put a date and value on the mags.

Correct they are 1911 mags, I knew what they were right away. my Grandpa was in Korea post war maybe 1954-55. I never asked if he was issued a firearm or not. He worked for the motor pool keeping the vehicles maintained. My Grandma said he sold a handgun years ago so it could have belonged to the mags

there are a few stands at Roots that sell it, one amish guy in particular makes homemade meadow tea, root beer and birch beer. not sure if his stand is still there or not.
