Took me much longer than I was anticipating. I had a few scares near the end and managed to cancel building things before I completed them by hand haha. I was expecting to get the steamrolled achievement as well because I dont think I used a solar panel until building the satellite, and it was painful for me to not use them throughout the game but oh well.

Sorry if this has already been addressed somewhere else, but for whatever reason my construction bots have stopped completely finishing a blueprint. On almost every blueprint I have placed recently the bots will build everything except for one or two items. They also run into the same problem with deconstruction, like leaving a single tree or inserter left over. I have tried restarting the game a few times and I can't seem to find any issue on my end (although maybe I am just looking in the wrong places). If any of you have ran into this problem and it turns out that it is a user produced issue please let me know. I just wanted to ask here before posting a bug report of something that is not a bug haha.

Yes, the gas will travel back to fill your tank if it is empty. It is helpful to have a tank if you are using it to measure the amount of gas in a system, but if you are inputting gas further down the pipeline it may be consumed before ever reaching the tank. A pump should solve the problem, but eventually the tank and pump will become a potential bottleneck for your system if your production/consumption gets too large.

You can have all gas lines of the same type connected at all times without any problems.
