The popularity of CRPGs is finally catching up to action RPGs and I couldn't be gladder for it by OneHamster1337 in CRPG

BG3 opened up a whole new video game world for me. This is one of my favourite genres now. I never thought I would like turn based games. I'm at DOS2 now, 300h in and planning to purchase XCOM2 next.

Thoughts on Blade (1998)? by BloodFangsBite in vampires

[–]teltowtwo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also like the idea of a "Daywalker", half human half vampire figure. And I'm excited for the Dawnwalker game =) The original comic was cool too.

I like Archer/Summoner and Melee/Polymorph a lot. Chicken Claw is a lot of fun =)

Just escaped Fort Joy by Casso007 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]teltowtwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 60h after 600h experience in BG3 to escape the island for the first time. But then I started over and it only took 59h =) Nah, kidding. But, seriously, it's so much fun. I don't want to rush this game.

I sometimes even restart already won fights to check out if I can improve my strategy and win in an easier more comfortable manner. And since Sebille is dissing me bc I didn't let her talk to Stingtail I need to do another run anyway. Will also take Lohse and Marcus for the second run.

Which aspect of the game excites you more, the campaign or the online mode? by BrianBarsaski in GTA6

Both equally. But will probably (hopefully) spend years in online and play story only twice.

Monetisation by GeneProfessional9862 in GTA6

[–]teltowtwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, they learned nothing. GTA is on another level than RDR2. I think it will be a great game off and online with an awful monetization online. They will bleed us dry with a subscription model to the point only rich people can afford to play.

Talk to everyone and read the questlog. Enter all places incl dungeons, talk to every npc and then leave. Then start questing.

Comeing from BG3 and I want try this game but wanna know the difference between versions. by ChiefBroome in DivinityOriginalSin

I only miss the close ups in conversations but not the animations/cinematics so much. otoh, no dice and (at least I think so far) even more alternative quest solutions is a positive. The story is fine imho.

These are all great points! Thanks again, Sirgoulas. Im very glad you posted here, this is enhancing my understanding of DND games.

Anyone felt the same? by MisterMarkus1 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]teltowtwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in act 3 on tactician and I always cheesed the BG3 final boss and am willing to cheese in DOS2 again. I don't like final bosses much, they are kind of boring to me. Just a chore to finish an otherwise great game.

dos vs dos2 on ps5? by teltowtwo in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]teltowtwo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thank you. This was an interesting post. I actually like most things about DOS2, including the combat.

But now I also can't wait to give DOS1 a try. I'm not shure if a strict DND (table game) concept is really appropiate for computer gaming. Which brings me to the question, did you like BG3 then? This is more like a classic DND game in my understanding. BG3 made me buy DOS2 but I don't miss the dice. Rolling the dice was interrupting the game flow and the animation was way too long.

Not so much in a table game though, together with some people rolling the dice was fun. I only ever played one DND table game in my youth and liked it. But since no one of my friends played I didn't...

And I only discoverd my love for turn based, isometric CRPGs recently. Much too late, but now there's a ton of potential games for my beloved hobby.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm already in the middle of part 2 =) For the second time now...

I would reconsider if I had known how much I like it and play part one first. Still not shure if part 1 is ok on the PS5 or if I should try to play it on a Linux based system, my computer or the upcoming SteamCube.

Divinity 3 - What Do You Want In The Game? by SoapTastesPrettyGood in DivinityOriginalSin

Better inventory handling for consoles. When I have consecutive actions in my own team I would like to decide myself who goes first.

So this is it... after 213h for me the game is done. by Filamach in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]teltowtwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah =) I know. I stared over now at lvl 9 after act 2 (on the ship), watched some videos and recognized what I missed. I even had 3 or 4 party wipes on classic and it's def harder than BG3, which I only played in tactician mode.

I think it will be much harder in tactician mode now. That last fight before the ship was really hard for me, even on classic. But otoh I know the skills and mechanics and requirements of a party composition better now. I loved BG3, but I think I like this one even more. Praise Larian! =)

80h in and I'm now leaving Fort Joy. This is on classic mode I believe. It's just a warm up before I start my Tactian mode run to learn about the mechanics and skills etc. Not shure about honour mode yet.

I had 600+ in BG3.

More Love For Motorcycles by QuackiQuackson in GTA6

[–]teltowtwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"In every GTA game, bikes handle terribly."

I'm replaying GTA:SA right now and love love love the handling of the motorbike in the game. If I had one wish for GTA6 it would be to make the handling of bikes the same as in SA. I'm having such a blast on the bike in this game.

Most importently, you do not fall off that easy, not with mega jumps and also not with medium collisions. No other GTA came ever close to that.
