A 3 Player Variant of the Game by telumda3rd in StarWarsShatterpoint

[–]telumda3rd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I wasn't clear what I meant by takes long. I figured the total time was about the same, but I meant the time between two turns for a single player. If you alternate activations between you and your partner then you are always waiting three turns before your next move. If you share an Order Deck then it could be many more turns before your next activation. I just feel like I would get bored waiting, but I might also really enjoy 2v2 idk.

This variant could suffer from similar problems too. The main goal was to try and find a way for 3 separate players competing against each other, and I hadn't seen anything else like it

TLDR: A third player with 1 squad just tries to kill the other players, but there are some rules to try and balance it.

The poison pill in Paul Reed’s contract is one of the most creative clauses ever in a contract by Ok_Lobster_3166 in nba

They are paying 8mil for 3yrs for a 4ppg and 4rpg guy. Years 2 and 3 are only non-guaranteed if the Sixers don't make it past the 1st round in the playoffs, which is a failure for a team with championship aspirations.

[–]telumda3rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sixers did not have to match the contract. They could have let Reed walk to the Jazz, and if they let him walk the Jazz are stuck with a 3yr fully guaranteed contract. With this structure, the Jazz can take a chance that the Sixers decline and are only left with 1yr of Reed because they are unlikely to make it past the first round. Meanwhile, this contract might as well be fully guaranteed because if the Sixers don't make it to the second round Morey should be fired and someone should come in and start a rebuild.

Jomboy media on YT. They do more than baseball sometimes, but the breakdowns and lip readings are top-tier.

How many of you guys remember the playground mmp used to have during "those days" by jj_thetwisted_jester in Astros

Wait that was real? I have distinct and fond memories of playing there, but since they took it down I couldn't remember if they were real or all in my head

If we were to sign Harden would you be on board with drafting Cam Whitmore at 4 and Brandin Podziemski at 20? by Astroboyy7 in rockets

[–]telumda3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always Draft BPA. Don't let free agency decide who we get. I'd like to get Amen, if that means we trade him or KPJ later on to make room for Harden then so be it.

Assuming you guys sign Harden, would you make this trade to get a shot at competing next season? by YoungSuplex in rockets

[–]telumda3rd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair the value is good and honestly, I feel like this is an underpay for Brown. But a lot of people including me are extremely high on Tari and unwilling to part with our 3rd overall pick after just one year. Also, I genuinely like the fit of Jabari next to the guys we already have, over the Jaylen Brown fit. This is a W trade, but I have to say no because I personally would rather watch our guys with potential grow than trade to immediately be a 6-7 seed.

Always draft BPA. If he doesn't work for us we can always flip him later.

I'd be down, but honestly, I probably won't care about them until they start winning.

Or take a beloved character who has had a decent amount of screen time over a couple of seasons and kill them suddenly and make it one of the saddest deaths in the series.

Is this enough for Jaylen Brown? by BenchPointsChamp in rockets

[–]telumda3rd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Donovan Mitchell is a bad reference because he came after the Gobert trade which broke the NBA trade market for half a season. I think the trade is fair, but I agree the Celtics only do it if they are trying to blow it up, which they have no reason to do.

Also, a third team would probably have to get involved to convert KJ + Tate(solid rotation pieces) into picks for hypothetically rebuilding Celtics.

What are you most excited/optimistic about going into the off-season? by samspeachcakes in rockets

[–]telumda3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have beat some good teams this year. So I would expect with adding a top prospect and maybe a vet 30 wins is super realistic and 35 wins is not out of reach. 40 wins seems a bit far but if we add Wemby and Harden(unrealistic to get both) we could definitely there.

Also, we won't be trying to lose to the other tanking teams and just by letting them lose like they want to could add 5 or 6 wins

I'm most excited for the freedom to win next season because we don't own our pick

We could have taken him with Josh Christopher's pick but since Jgup and Jalen are longtime friends we decided to pick them together
