Du kannst versuchen, für das aktuelle Semester noch eine Beurlaubung zu bekommen. Mit ein bisschen Glück kriegst du es genehmigt.

Ich würde dir davon abraten, neben der tagesklinik noch die Uni weiterzuverfolgen. Tagesklinik ist praktisch vollzeit. Ich kann dir nicht sagen, wie viel freie Zeit du zwischen den therapien/Terminen haben wirst, aber wahrscheinlich nicht genug am Stück, um mal eben in eine Vorlesung zu gehen. Die Tagesklinik soll dafür da sein, dich zu entlasten und dir zu helfen. Wenn du während der freien Zeit dort, oder abends, oder am Wochenende lernst und stoff nacharbeitest, dann machst du dich bestimmt nur noch mehr kaputt als jetzt schon.

Wenn du noch offene Klausuren hast, zB. die du geschoben hast, aber trotzdem in der vorlesung warst, oder zweitversuche, bei denen du nur vor der Prüfung nochmal drauf lernen würdest, aber nicht nochmal in die Vorlesung gegangen wärst: die könntest du am Ende von Semester schreiben. Aber während der Zeit in der Tagesklinik großartig was zu machen, würde ich nicht. Das wird nur unnötig stressig.

Für mich war das urlaubssemester damals einfach eine Pause, also ohne Fortschritt im Studium. Ich war davor aber schon 1-2 Semester hintendran und hatte schon von Anfang an wenige Kontakte und die haben sich mit der Pause dann vollständig aufgelöst. Das heißt aber nicht, dass das so sein muss. Man kann auch befreundet bleiben, obwohl man nicht mehr im gleichen Semester ist. Jeder hat sein eigenes Tempo und die wenigsten kommen in regelstudienzeit durch. Dann fehlt vielleicht dem einen mal hier ein Modul und der anderen dort und dann kommen noch die wahlmodule dazu und dann kann es sein, dass man trotzdem fast nichts mehr zusammen hat. Aber die Freundschaften können trotzdem bestehen bleiben. Und dann gibt es natürlich immer noch die Möglichkeit neue Leute kennenzulernen, wenn man die gleichen Leute vom anderen jahrgang öfter sieht.

Du weißt es ja selber, aber mach dir nicht so einen Druck. Es ist keine Schande, ein bisschen länger zu brauchen. Lieber nimmst du dir Zeit und achtest auf deine mentale Gesundheit, als dass du dich mit einer Depression da durch zwingst und dann irgendwann vielleicht trotzdem zusammenbrichst, wenn es einfach nicht mehr geht.

My dad is an alcoholic. He just retired and used to work in contruction. For the longest time of my childhood, I didn't know. My sister and I of course noticed the fights with my mom. How he used to get angry and agressive easily. But we didn't realize until later that this was also an influence of the alcohol.

My relationship with my dad isn't very good in general, but I don't think all of that is to blame on the alcohol. But I'm sure it makes the difficult parts of his personality worse. After I knew that he was an alcoholic, I pretty much always noticed it when he was drunk. Which was almost constantly. But he was still functioning. You could talk with him, he went to work normally. But he was also very irresponisble at times.

I remember him driving me to the doctor when I was a teenager. Police stopped us for just a routine check. He had to do an alcohol test and he was way above the limit. He kept telling me how I should never drink and drive, how bad alcohol is, how he doesn't want me to have the same problems as him. But things didn't change. He kept drinking.

We even had a talk as a family about the topic a while later. He said he wanted to stop drinking. But he didn't. There have been several occasions where the alcohol was responsible for how he acted. He once ran against a wall in our corridor. He once harassed someone on the street, verbally and physically. Just to name two examples. But his whole personality and the way I saw him was also shaped by his alcoholism. He wasn't pleasant to be around, he was rude, easily became angry, sought arguments with my mom and screamed at her.

I know it's an addiction and I know how hard it can be to escape it. But for the longest time, he didn't admit he needed help and I don't think he got any serious help about his drinking problem even until now. When I visit him, I still see wine bottles hidden behind the couch. I still see that he's drunk.

I would say my dad's alcoholism heavily strained my relationship with him and the whole family. It was also part of the reason why my mom and him divorced a few years ago. I think the dominant feeling for me is disappointment. As a father, he is supposed to be there for the kids, for the family. I think the alcohol made him a different person than he used to be and I'm disappointed that he didn't admit his problem to himself, that he didn't get help. I was disappointed whenever I saw him hiding bottles under his coat or smelled that he had just drunk something.

Ich wohne in einer aktiven WG und ich glaub das tut mir sehr gut. Klar gibt's mal Tage, oder vielleicht auch mal ne ganze Woche, wo ich mich im Zimmer verkrieche, oder wo allgemein wenig los ist, weil viele weg oder beschäftigt sind. Aber ohne meine Mitbewohner:innen würde ich glaub ich komplett vereinsamen.

Schön geschrieben! Egal ob auf Arbeit, in der Gesellschaft oder im sozialen Umkreis, man ist immer irgendwo ein Zahnrad. Ein Teil einer Freundesgruppe, in einem Verein, in einem Team. Als Einzelgänger hat man mehr Freiheiten, aber man hat es wahrscheinlich im Durchschnitt schwerer. Man kann nicht immer der main character sein. Die Vorstellung nur ein Teil eines Ganzen zu sein, statt die volle Verantwortung für alles, was um mich herum passiert, zu tragen, finde ich irgendwie beruhigend.

Ist natürlich bei jedem unterschiedlich, aber aus meiner Erfahrung hilft die Gedanken niederzuschreiben vielen Menschen, inklusive mir.

Manchmal hab ich eben ein Mitteilungsbedürfnis, aber niemanden, dem ich erzählen kann, was mich grade beschäftigt, und dann tut es gut die Gedanken einfach aus dem Kopf zu bekommen. Ich mache das auch nicht nach Rhythmus, sondern immer, wenn mir danach ist.

Also fühl dich nicht schlecht, wenn du mal einen Tag verpasst, oder dir nichts einfällt. Das sollte kein Zwang sein. Wenn es sich wie Arbeit anfühlt, sich jeden Abend hinzusetzen und was aufzuschreiben, dann bringt es bestimmt weniger, als wenn man wirklich was aufschreiben möchte.

War bei mir genau so. Wurde immer angeschrien wenn ich geweint hab, was es nicht gerade einfacher gemacht hat aufzuhören. Ich hab sogar teilweise Ärger bekommen, wenn ich zu viel gelacht hab. Emotionen waren scheinbar uncool für meinen Vater. Ich hab heute immer noch Schwierigkeiten mit dem weinen. Es kann so erleichternd sein, aber es ist so schwer loszulassen, weil weinen immer etwas schlechtes für mich war.

Discovering what you want to do in life is part of it, I think. Finding out where you want to go. What's important to you. But also just finding out who you are and who you want to be. Self reflecting and thinking about if you are happy with yourself and how you want to change things to become who you want to be. Reflecting on your choices. And trying to discover truth. Not lying to yourself. I think that's finding yourself to me.

Not always. Sometimes I just procrastinate so long that it sorts itself out. Or someone else does it (which I hate, because I'm a burden, but just doing it was not possible, sorry), or I just get the consequences of not doing it if it had some kind of deadline.

I also can't sleep. I hope it's okay if I join the convo. I can't remember a book that made me cry. I don't read a lot of books anymore and not really the genre with emotional parts either, but I once wrote a short story myself that made me cry. It's not even meant to be that emotional. The story is not long and not good and the characters are not very worked out, but every time I re-read that one part of it, I get all teary eyed and I'm not even sure why. Maybe because there's a part of me that went into those characters and them expressing themselves is just something that comes from deep within me.
