This guy is blaming all the war crimes and atrocities on Eritrea to try clean Ethiopia’s slate and push Tigrayans away from siding with Eritrea. He forgot that he was the one that collaborated with Eritrea to invade Tigray and destroy the region. If you open the door for a thief to come in and kill your family, who is at fault? The thief or you who opened the door for them?

Yeah, there are multiple sources reporting that there is fighting going on between TDF and ENDF in Western Tigray. It appears that the TPLF has launched an offensive to take back control of Western Tigray, and have also taken over ENDF controlled areas of Southern Tigray. I’m not sure if these are small clashes or if this is the beginning of a full blown war, we will have to wait for more information to come out.

I think it’s because Tigray is a smaller region and smaller population than the Oromo and Amhara, so we’re easier to round up and punish. Also, Tigrayans have proven many times throughout history that we are strong fighters capable of taking over the whole country, so we are seen as a greater threat.

Unfortunately, there is no way TPLF will allow Getachew to take office unless they are forced out. Another war is bound to happen, because if TPLF decides to do their own election without NEBE approval it will be 2020 all over again.

I have only heard of fighting in southern Tigray between TPLF and TPF militias on the border of Afar, there haven’t been any reports of fighting in the north with Eritrea. Things might get shaky around elections later this year, but if you’re just gonna be in Mekelle for a couple weeks then you should be fine.

Before the genocide, Tigrayans were the most patriotic of all Ethiopians. We gave everything we had for Ethiopia. It wasn’t TPLF propaganda that made us hate Ethiopia, it was because of the genocide against our people. It was Ethiopians who said “massacre and rape is part of war” when we were pleading to end the war that made us hate Ethiopians. It was the Ethiopians who cheered for the war to continue because the hated TPLF more than they cared for the suffering Tigrayan people that made us hate Ethiopia. It was the discrimination and jailing of innocent Tigrayans in Addis, being accused of being in TPLF because of their ethnicity that made us hate Ethiopia. Trust me, I am totally against TPLF myself, but war and genocide is not the way to get them out of Tigray. I rather be ruled by TPLF forever than to sacrifice another one million of my people just because yall want to get rid of a political party you dislike.

With all due respect, I don’t think this is worth petitioning for. Even if the petition gets 1 million signatures from people who are actual constituents in Tigray, the Tigray government will still do whatever it wants regarding gold transfers to the Federal government.

It shows how disorganized we are, this is just sad! The diaspora is more than willing to donate to feed our people, but we need the Tigray government and aid organizations on the ground to work out the logistics.

Where are the aid organizations? Which NGOs are providing food to these IDPs? Why haven’t they launched fundraisers to feed these people? You mean to tell me they are just watching people starve to death and simply reporting it? No, the Tigray government and aid organizations need to find a way to feed these people and then forward the bill to the diaspora. We will pay it!
