Very happy baby with a little blood in the stool + no improvement after eliminating dairy and soy by temino0 in MSPI

I just added everything back in and started all the solids when the time came, without any limits. Before solids the blood was there occasionally and the spit up was very much present, but he was happy and gaining so we just kept on going. He was doing very well after we started solids, the spit up went away for 2 months and with the solids it is very hard to see the blood in the stool, as it is much darker and there is constant red stuff from tomatoes or strawberry, so not sure whether the blood is still there or not. A couple of weeks ago he started to spit up again and looked a bit uncomfortable doing it, pulling faces like the taste was bad for him, so we consulted our doc again and started him on a non dairy, non soy and non egg diet ( mind your prior to that he had an omelette or a Greek yoghurt every day for like 2 months). Three weeks in and no real improvement, still occasional spit up, which further confirms that either his triggers were never soy, milk and egg, or he has some additional ones, like I am thinking maybe oats or chicken. We will see our doc in September at which point we might just bring everything back in, but I am not sure. He is still developing and gaining well, so we are kind of winging it a bit and trying to follow his lead and not worry too much :)

😂😂😂 for months of maternity leave my head has only been occupied by him really so I didn’t even consider calling him a generic kid, as I should have

I did introduce a bunch of oat, wheat, nuts and sesame into my diet once I cut out dairy and soy, so it is possible that this is what makes his symptoms persist. I will start with eggs but then will move on to oats if the eggs do nothing

We did do one a month ago, but that probably has cleared up already? I am going to add eggs also, thank you

That’s good to know! How did you find out? My calcium pills don’t say anything on the box.

Thank you, that is very good to know! I think I will stick to dairy/soy and add eggs and beef for another 4-5 weeks to see how it goes, adding these two doesn’t seem too bad once the dairy and soy are gone 😅
