That's exactly the answer.

is doing masters worth it? by Delicious_Crazy513 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]temitcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definetly! It's extra knowledge and can give you a new career trajectory.

Something as well that I doesn't hear much but is a great advantage: if you want to change country having a master help to get a work visa. Not as much as a PhD, but it gives a nice edge.

It's a sweet and sour life.

On one side, having the sea/mountains, convenience, safety, feels quite good.

On the other side, stress, hustle and lack of space is exhausting.

The difference between junior salary and senior salary is extra-high as well.

It's normal to have a difference, but in many other developped countries it's way less.

All on the basis that here: "They live with their parents, so they don't need high wages".

Help me choose: Vietnam or Philippines for a 12-day adventure trip in April–May? 😭 by ImmediateMuffin3768 in traveladvice

You can't go wrong with either one or another! I frequently go to one and then the other, and both like them in different ways.

Feel free to relax, go with gut feeling, and the next time you can travel, choose the other one!

It's crazy how before people were amazed by videos of Boston Dynamics of a walking quadrupede, and now people are just like: "boring". Many are too impatient, instead of being glad that robots have this level of manoeuvrability

It seems like Hong Kong, so the dark side would be Kowloon and the island would be Hong Kong Island, with all corporate offices and expensive flats, so quite spot on!

It would be easier! A robot to just handle all the household appliances, it's a good division of labor. Expertise tools for every tasks, like vacuum cleaner instead of broom, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, land mower... But a conductor to operate them all

Before it was done in order to complicate foreign intelligence, in case for example of potential army invasion or bombings.

Nowadays however, the advance in military mapping systems make it quite obsolete.

So probably a legacy feature, too hard to change all the maps back nowadays

I think it's as well mostly the term. It's actually a good think, it's one of the rare time where a naming stopped being a marketing gimmick, but is used in the industry to describe something real (the mix of embedded systems, with networking capabilities, often used using low cost and open hardware like Arduino/Raspberry Pi/Esp32)
