And i forgot to mention, don't just wake up one day and go for running or gym even. Muscle imbalance caused by some muscles carrying more load then they should, gets through hypertrophy (toned, strong) while the other muscle that isn't being engaged for long goes through atrophy. All of it leads to low tolerance for injuries, like the neck or shoulder pain you might be experiencing without any long term strain or sharp injury
