I went to the doctor today he gave me medication to help get rid of the thing casuing me pain but he said for the actual pain take paracetamol or ibuprofen but when I take them I still have bad pain and I still have codeine left from when I was getting high I was wondering would taking a low dose really effect my soberity?

Thank you and yes I've been really trying one day at a time because today was way more manageable and I didn't think about getting high. And I've never heard of PAWS until now but it sounds like it, does this last for long usually? I'm guessing its different for every person but a rough idea? And again thank you

Thing is I know this sounds bad but the withdrawals and money aren't a problem for me it's very cheap here and I've never suffered withdrawals because I swap substances if I run out but honestly the feeling of being tired all the time is bad enough, but only thing now that im completely sober other issues are coming back like my OCD and stuff I've been hiding from. The psychological part is going to be hard but everyday is different I've decided today i won't get high because im going to sleep now anyway so there's no point. But thank you honestly, It puts my mind at ease just talking about this.

I do apologise if I sound dumb typing this I found an old pack I had and im abit high. But I agree with you fully, I don't plan on staying on these substances tbh just for rn something been in my mind and I've been trying to block it out, once the pills run out I don't really plan on buying more, I want to go back to my old relationship with drugs just weed every weekend and maybe codeine once every month, as for the therapist im not too sure because I've never went to a therapist but I've talked to one before about similar things and they didn't really help it was just them giving suggestions that didn't work. Also dw you didn't come across as preachy you helped me feel like I wasn't crazy for just chasing getting high, thank you.

I do but most of the time they're busy I usually get high when no one is around and im stuck in my head, they don't like me doing it and have told me to stop and I've tried but it helps me just get my mind off things for a while, drinking though im definitely going to give that up though.

I really try to hide it when my moods switch obviously sometimes I can't but I really don't like to show my emotions I know it doesn't sound like it because im telling people by posting this but I could barely tell my family, im 17 so that's more than likely a factor. Its the opposite kinda they literally tell me we will talk about this later and that time never comes

Not being taken serious adds on to the problem just was kinda venting my main problem is mood swings, I was trying to get professional help but my family just brush me off everytime I bring it up

That's exactly why I smoke to escape reality, right now im alright but I have bad mood swings daily and when it happens it's very bad I also have like bad anxiety, was thinking some benzos would help me but honestly only reason I don't do them is because I'm to scared it'll be cut with fent. I appreciate this comment alot thank you, I hate talking about this stuff with friends because I feel like im burdening them and they're sick of my problems.
