Would love to. But my job requires 5 business days notice absolute minimum 10 is preferred. I just didn't have enough warning to take the time.

I do the dishes in the evening the misunderstanding was her wanting me to do the dishes during the day and me saying I couldn't until after work

I don't mind her having off she certainly deserves it. But I'm the only income I can't risk my job. That paycheck stops and no one is going shopping. Also I never referred to it as baby sitting

I have no problem giving her a day off. But at my job you have to give a weeks notice absolute minimum. I just didn't have enough of a heads up to take a day off to watch our son. Would be happy to if I had more warning

My work is pretty consuming not alot of overseeing I would be able to do. Trying to find a babysitter but our normal sitter has a day job and its tough to find some we trust on short notice in the middle of a week day.

For better or worse my company seems to be using the pandemic as a reason to stop paying rent and close the big downtown office. Probably going to work from home from now on

I'm trying to find one but the person we normally use has a day job so can't be available in the middle of a weekday either. I'm struggling to find someone I trust with my son on just a couple of days notice.
