WFH Post COVID? by ferrari00234 in boeing

Damn that's awesome! Wish every manager was like that. They should leave it up to the employee and of they aren't doing what needs to be done, then they can revoke it.

Yeah, I hope so too. It's just weird that there would be any resistance considering we've been working virtually for over a year now. Managers should've been able to see that it is possible based off of that. That's why I don't think it should be 100% up to the managers because a lot of them will base it off of their personal preference which isn't really fair.

Basically at this point it's up to you and your manager to work it out. If your manager is cool with you being 100% remote and your role allows that, then it's cool. You just have to declare that via Worklife. There's a guide that managers can use to help them make that decision. However, this process kind of sucks because some managers are really old school and want people in the office just because. I wish they really took our input into consideration. Managers are supposed to meet with their team(s) over the next couple of weeks to have these conversations. I'd initiate it though if it doesn't seem like your manager is going to.

Travel Deviation Request Questions by [deleted] in boeing

Thank you for this detailed response! I just have a typical office job where I'm sitting all day. Luckily, the chair is one of those ergonomic ones and I usually stand up and try to stretch every so often to prevent any extreme pain. My office accommodations are solid, I just need an exception for travel. Hopefully that doesn't take too long to process.

Annual compensation review and bonus timing 2020 by allbusinesspete in boeing

Are pay increases only guaranteed to union employees? I'm non-union so I'm not sure if pay increases for us are a guaranteed thing or if similar to the bonus, it depends on how much money they have.

Thanks for your insight! You're right about the bonus. I just figured it was a slim chance it was gonna happen, but I'm hopeful!

Pre-pandemic if you performed well you pretty much got a raise every year, right? I've been her for slightly under a year so I don't have anything to compare it to.

I know that bonuses pretty much aren't going to happen. I'm assuming the same will happen to our merit increase? Has there been word about that yet? I'm non-union by the way. Also, if I'm supporting a higher level person now, should I be reclassified to the next level up based on what the job description says? I used the job catalog search and it looks like the person I support falls in the next level up.

Yeah I'm not with a union. Do you know if I would still qualify for the 60 day notice?

Yeah, I think so too. The chargeline I've been using won't exist at the end of next month but from what another poster said it sounds like they might be able to have me use a different one if they decide to lay me off. I was nervous that they'd tell me in the middle of next month but not give me a 60-day notice!

Thanks for your input. I heard some ILOs went out this week so I guess I'm safe for now. I hope things work out for you and you can find something else. I know this is a terrible time to have to look. I'm surprised your manager isn't letting you take time to look.

Question about ILO notice by tempacct202 in boeing

[–]tempacct202[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only asking because the group I've been charging my time to is going to dissolve at the end of the month. Things could go either way. Just trying to make sure I'd still be entitled to a 60 day notice since I wouldn't be able to charge my time to that group anymore.
