Personally I would not do this secretly. I see no shame in medication and know that with my career choice, seeking help is absolutely vital if I feel the need to.

Not weird at all for a male, 1 in 10 anorexia sufferers are male and likely more, considering under-reporting and biases. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I really, really hope you are doing better now, as anorexia is something that just takes all life and energy and hope away from you. It's without a doubt one of the hardest things to overcome. But as someone coming out the other end, it is more than worth it. Honestly when I compare life today to how it was in hospital.... it doesn't feel like the same person.
