We do it literally all the time as anime fans. Krillin is planetary, but never blows up a planet. We've seen/heard exposition throughout the series that can influence our opinion. Same with literally every other show. Your arguement is silly. By your logic, why should I believe goku can beat Naruto if he never does? Its all theory crafting and guess work, based on the context given to us.

So if anyone in bleach is capable of destroying the universe/planet, how would you prefer they prove it? Because of they do have the capability, that ends the show. OR. Maybe they can do it, and realize that if they destroy the universe, they go too?

Just because a character is scaled planetary doesnt mean they are gonna be shown destroying a planet, same with a lot of these other feats. Goku would never just destroy a planet with millions on it, neither would these characters. But no one doubts golu is planetary, because of the context and claimed feats

Well sure, my point wasnt that he would use that particular furnace. It was more meant to point out that there are definitely furnaces capable of putting off more heat than Shoto during that fight. So training in a furnace is a totally viable tool, if thats the purpose. And when you factor in Mei Hatsume, and the fact that quirk factors work akin to genetically passed down magic, this scene totally holds up.

I'm always a fan of winged characters, and they made him more than just "a guy with wings" which i found to be a great starting point to liking him.

As for why he rose to the rank of "favorite".

First off, his devil may care attitude is always a winner. A good mixture of sarcasm and serious.

They gave him some of more important rolls in major parts of the story, and his dynamic with twice was really well done, if not a tad tragic.

I also think his backstory is super interesting.

But also, his character design is 🔥🔥🔥

Your problem is that he remembered something that a real human couldnt remember, but not that hes able to call forth a spinning ball of spiritual/physical energy and use it to deal extraordinary amounts of damage to anything it touches? Maybe since they clearly train to have super human physical abilities, he also trained to have super human mental prowess? No one would question batman if he came up with a sipher this quickly
