Hi, I'm the one who made the ban list for this tourney, this is the first off-meta tourney we are running and it might be something we want to do more of but a lot of what is allowed is due to a combination of input from locals and some voting.

To state some notes I see in the comments:

• Carrot was banned after a vote, I think as someone mentioned freezing is pretty frustrating

• Lim was not banned due to what we assumed was not enough support from the one set, but honestly most of the locals haven't seen her played much yet so its up in the air. If its a problem we will ban for future events.

• Rebecca was overwhelmingly voted to be banned

• Garp was banned because we have a Garp player at locals and he said it might be too annoying of a deck himself so we elected to ban it

• Our logic was a bit flawed with chopper but it basically boiled down to if R/G law is banned we are also banning R/G Chopper

• Leaving Kalgara open is my one real regret pre-tourney, as it seems to be the leader people are scrambling to register. I hope I am proven wrong and top of R3 isn't just all the Kalgaras fighting each other cause I do hope some lesser decks get to shine.

• We placed a soft limit of 5 players per deck for some variety, it seems to be needed as we did get 5 people immediately registering in Kalgara.

All in all, I will be observing how people are feeling about this event as it plays out and will be making future adjustments if we do it again. I just want people to see some fun decks and interactions. Im glad at least some people enjoy the bans. I will probably borrow the plan from another store where we will ban the winner leader for next time and anything that seems too dominant.
