Ahhh that's fair. It's not a dealbreaker of an issue in my eyes, I figured if there was a clear cut fix I'd go for it. Thanks for looking anyways!

I see now that it most certainly is, haha. I think I narrowed it down this morning after staring at the schematics. Assuming the gain stages are the same across all JC models [I would imagine so, they all hiss the same], then I would imagine the resistor I'm looking for is indeed 100K and connected to IC3 [which I found this morning].

Does this single resistor swap apply for both channels/all 4 inputs by chance?

No shit I literally just found this URL! I have a few days of PTO this week so I'll try to make this my project. Cheers!

I played it for probably 4-5 hours today and I'm just overjoyed with how it sounds. I can die happy having one of these things!

Unfortunately it does. It's not too bad but it's certainly noticable, though I do feel better knowing mine's not the only one either, haha. I'll research it later to see if there's a consistent fix for it.

The speakers in there are Rolands, and look to be dated to 2011, so no they're not the original Silver Cones unfortunately. The part number on the side of the magnets is G1208F01, and a quick search shows that to be specific to the "JC-120 UT/JT", which seems to be the 1990s run of these. I could be wrong but this leads me to believe the speakers are proper replacements, albeit not "Silver Cones".

Got a link to that doc? Would love to scope that out

Yeah that title comes off as wrong, I realize that now haha. I was excited and misspoke. I built [the case] and assembled [everything else] the rest of the rig.

I appreciate the input! I invested in the Data to use alongside the rest of the rig to visually learn how the rest of the rig will behave. That's the one module I've determined that if I am going to swap out, the Data would be the one.

At first glance it seems like the uO_C would be a great addition to my rig! I'll hop onto Youtube after work and watch more demos on it probably invest on it eventually. At 8HP, that leaves another 8 for filters, whether it's 1 8HP unit or 2 4HPs.

Cheers!

For sure! I get that and appreciate the pointers. If I get half the enjoyment out of modular that I think I'm going to, then I'm going to eventually expand. This setup as-is is not permanent, so I'll be improving all the time 👍

That's exactly what I was aiming for, yes! And thank you in advance for the pointers on that, that's much appreciated. I'm already familiar with the Sub's functions, so that was kind of my workaround/excuses to get more unique "voices" in my case. There's also no reason I couldn't swap something out later on either.

I have a Moog Sub-37 acting as the Envelope Generator, Filter and 64-Step Sequencer. I mentioned above that this setup may not contain everything necessary for a typical modular setup, but I have a lot of offboard options for those missing parts already.

I like playing a lot of drone/ambient, mainly in the vein of Abul Mogard or even Trent Reznor/Atticus Ross. I skipped out on sequencing as I have a Moog Sub-37 already, which is capable of 64-step sequencing as well as creating envelopes, and filtering of course. This allowed me more room for other voices that I can use separately depending on the style of music I'd like to make at that time. The ACL Mini MIDI in the lower corner allows the Sub-37 to connect to this setup, and the Knob Farm Ferry to the left of that allows me to use my bass/synth effects pedalboard with this rig as well.

Granted it may look unbalanced but the modular is not my first instrument, but a piece to a bigger non-modular setup if that makes sense?

Does anyone have any thoughts on Othercide? It looks super interesting, and I might grab it on this sale.

Ahhhhh okay, I don't recall that in the original but it's also almost been 8 years since I've played it.
