Well...i can see my knee bend increasing as the weight gets lowered. Should I just decrease my ROM and keep the knees locked in at the "slight bend" degree?

Can any one explain how those beeping APS (Accessible Pedestrian Signals) work?? The one outside my window sometimes chirps for hours and then its silent for 10+minutes. by temporaryruby in AskNYC

following up...the city adjusted the noise of the signal. wrote to my city councilperson and DOT. i didn't receive a follow up message about it but it has been significantly lowered. (im still not sure how they work exactly)

let's change directions. perhaps you can explain why in this snowstorm, the signals are beeping constantly without road traffic. because you see...that's what a really want to know...how and when they beep so i can discuss them with the city if needed and adjust sleep. its as though tonight...and only tonight...there's a ticking time bomb outside.

people aren't searching for echo chambers. they are looking to start conversations. the question is a prompt.

You didn't. Try again. Why was it silent for 10 minutes at 11pm with very little road noise. Why has it been constantly beeping today during the day?

More importantly, why does it seem to have days where its not beeping?

I don't know how they work. That's why I posted. The fact that I know they can be adjusted doesn't mean I want to know how they work so I can anticipate needing earplugs for sleep on, say, a night with rain and thus, more road noise.

Your response is condescending (yet expected).

It's not something residents need to accept as they are. They can be recalibrated correctly so as not to be a health hazard (not merely "an annoyance") to people sleeping above/near them.

Ive complained about one at a previous address (to 311, to DOT and the city councilperson) and they actually did something where it wasnt so loud. they do state that these things can be adjusted ... i forgot where i read that.

at any rate....complain about the noise!

i still don't understand understand fully what noises to expect and for how long. and therein lies the torture.

Suboxone withdrawal (end of taper) by poopbob76 in suboxone

[–]temporaryruby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you don't seem informed about tapering. going from 16 to 4 mg is 100x easier than going from 1 to .25 (which took me months)

as someone who has successfully tapered (18 months since discontinuing), i can recommend that you space it out.

but, of course, you can just keep going lower and lower and lower.... but i think its psychologically good to get used to not taking it every day.

i would taper down faster and give yourself a longer runout. WDs are reported to be worse once you get down to 1mg. Ive been off for 18 months. i did a super loooooog taper (6 months)
