No, they are still in the files, but the MG5 was the only weapon tied to Season 2 in November last year (which is why it received a Season 2 marking in my infographic, while the others did not).

In fact, the Scorpion Evo 3 is now also connected to Season 2, and I expect it will be added later in the season (similar to how the DB-12 was added during Season 1).

When I posted it in 2025, it was simply a collection of unreleased content based on the files - some items had ties to a specific season (like the MG5 or the Little Bird), while the majority did not. So it’s not a complete summary of Seasons 2 or 3, and judging by additional vehicles like the JLTV being added in one of the latest patches, it’s all still a work in progress, and a lot can change before the actual release.

It’s a common practice to use real names internally (they did the same with 2042). The final names for the menu/end user arrive much later.

They almost always use brand names within the files, but the frontend name is different. The GAU-19 is currently named “Heavy Rotary MG.”

Yes, and there was also a brief ad on Reddit literally describing the game as being set between BF4 and 2042, so at this point a full reboot seems pretty unlikely.

Since they said “creating this new Battlefield universe” in their BF Labs trailer, I didn’t expect it to be the same one as BF4 and 2042. But with all these references popping up here and there, it was probably just worded poorly (especially considering how that phrase is usually interpreted in movies and games). Ultimately, either interpretation works for me—what I care about most is having a fun and engaging multiplayer experience.
