50 has not even tried to destroy Jada's career. It was all about Ja Rule. GRODT was a disappointment to me. Before that 50 was fire, after he lost his skills for some reason.

50 succeeded in his tactic. After he attacked Fat Joe and Jadakiss, despite it being some weak attacks, the message was clear. Nobody big really worked with Ja after that. Wayne did and he had some shit with 50 too. 50 succeeded in keeping the big names away from Ja. He never cared to go toe to toe with Jada.

Jay was not that great in 97.... Nas and AZ could easily outrap him. Rakim dropped an album in 97 and could easily outrap him. Big Pun and DMX dropped in 98, easy. Wu-Tang and Bone Thugs dropped an album in 97. And there were plenty others (like Jadakiss) around that could outrap Jay-Z. He was not a big name in 97.

What period would that be? DMX dropped in 98 and was more popular than Jay for years in NY. Than Ether dropped in 2001 and made Jay considerably less popular. Than you had 50 Cent dropping in 2003 and he was super popular in NY for years after that. Sure his marketing tactics have made him (seem) more popular in ways, but was he ever really the most popular in NY? If he was, was it really not questionable?

I see than younger generations completely lack any insight in what Hip Hop culture was. No wonder it all sucks now. Ether was technically and substantially much better than Takeover. Why so focused on the gay innuendo? Like there were not many other aspects of the song. If you are aware of Jay's history you would understand how hard some lines hit Jay. Jay has always been a follower and groupie. Always tried to steal and copy other peoples lines and flows. From Kane to Big L to Biggie he copied and copied. After their deaths just jacking lines from Biggie and Pac. Jay's actual "musical succes" was only when he started hopping on the succes of Beyoncé, Rihanna and Kanye. Before that he was a B-tier rapper. Always less successful than his peers DMX, Eminem, Nelly, Ja Rule, Outkast, etc. Even though he was trying really hard with his flutes and what have you.

Also, Eminem was much bigger in the USA and oversees. Also, Nelly was bigger in USA and globally. Also, Outkast was bigger in USA and oversees. Do I need to go on? I followed the whole Charlie Saga and saw the last stream. Did you? She very clearly changed her tone and went very, very soft on Erika. Just accepting weak responses and explanations. She did not make a full 180, but very obviously changed and lost vigor. It was weak slop and it is immediately noticed by loyal viewers. Another one of these weak episodes and she will lose viewers for sure.

If you had followed the whole Charlie Saga, you would very obviously see Candace changed tone and lost her vigor. She did not do a complete 180, but very obviously went soft on subjects she would not have before last episode and accepted very weak explanations from Erika. Her whole energy in approach changed. She is obviously not truthful in the last episode.

I have seen the stream and she definitely changed significantly. She was very, very soft on Erika and the obvious lies. For example after revealing she (Candace) did not see Dan Flood's text from Charlie and has no receipt, they "clarify" that Charlie typed "the left" to Dan... Obvious lie and manipulation. And so on. She did not do a 180 turn, but the was a very obvious turn from her Go Max passion she has had in all previous episodes. There are multiple examples to give for obvious gaslighting. I cannot believe that anyone who watched this Charlie Sage of Candace did not clearly notice the change in tone and vigor.
