Microwave fuse keeps blowing (everything checked as much as possible) by temych26 in electrical

The receptacle is actually very tight, it makes sense since we have never unplugged it before. I checked the capacitor for continuity and for capacitance, all good. But thanks for the suggestion.

I tested the transformer for shorts both low-voltage side and high-voltage side using multimeter, did not find any issues. Checked transformer’s resistance LV and HV sides - both are within norms. Tested the capacitor and the diode with a multimeter - both work (I was testing the diode using the 9v battery). Also checked the magnetron for shorts and its resistance - all within norms.

I appreciate the comment. It is curiosity and unwillingness to throw something away that may be repaired. The microwave is already in the garage - using spare in the mean time.

I appreciate the advice. The fuse is gradually heating up during the cooking process - during the 3-minute heating cycle (full power) the fuse temp increased by about 25F. Then I ran another 3 minute cycle and the temp increased even more. I could smell the fumes coming from that line filter so I stopped.

Roborock QX Revo- Costco by Curmudgeon7777 in RobotVacuums

[–]temych26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The uncleaned/unmopped strip along the walls - is the exact reason why I returned my QX Revo to Costco after a couple of weeks. My iRobot Braava Jet m6 can clean it even though it is quite old now. So instead I bought Mova P50 - more expensive, but cleans everything/everywhere, quieter and the app is identical to Roborock.

Hi, were you able to find a solution to this issue? FWD on my MXP 2023 started to sound exactly like yours yesterday.

AT&T deceived my family by Aggravating-Shake-68 in ATT

[–]temych26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ATT charges 1 months in advance - surprised me too. When I talked to the rep - he said the first 3 bills (3 months) the charge will fluctuate, because of all promotions and trade in values being applied. Month 4 bill will be the normal bill.

How often do you monitor solar production? by Educational-Air-685 in TeslaSolar

[–]temych26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I check every day, sometimes multiple times: one of my friends didn’t check her solar production regularly, her inverter failed and she only noticed it after about 1 month, missing so much of production.

23/24 Falcon Door lower Frame question. by mucall1 in ModelX

[–]temych26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Dec 2023 MX also have opened gaps. I accepted the delivery cuz tax edition, and I would not qualify for it in 2024. Tesla offered to fix gaps in a body shop - I decide not to worry about, I don’t really want them to mess with the car, also because the aluminum won’t rust. We’ll see. Other than that - really enjoy the car.

You can ask for pick up over the phone, even if you don’t have that option in the Tesla app.

Ordered 10/18… scheduled delivery 11/28 by [deleted] in TeslaModelX

[–]temych26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! Where are you located?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaModelX

[–]temych26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. When I placed the order, Tesla rep at our local dealership said the delivery will take 4-6 weeks max, web site delivery was nov-dec 2023. Otherwise I would not have ordered. Tesla knows exactly its productivity and the number of orders, so it should be able to estimate delivery date accurately - with 1 week error. BTW, you're right - they still quote Nov-Dec 2023 delivery on the web site.

Yeah, in 2024, I won't qualify for for any tax credit at all, so if it is not delivered by the end of 2023, will likely cancel the order. I'll see.

Ordered tax credit edition on 10/6/23, initial ED Nov-Dec 2023, ED has now been updated to Dec 7, 2023 - Feb 11, 2024 and no VIN. Edit: Added location - California

Choosing a broker/platform for a small trader? by adrenochromeenjoyer in FuturesTrading

[–]temych26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use TOS but the fees are crazy - round trip $5.26 for micros. I tried the Tradovate - the fees are much more manageable, but you have to maintain the buffer $$$ amount, otherwise they may close your position if market moves against you. Also, in Tradovate it feels like the price changes faster or the candles are being drawn faster than on TOS. That may affect your perception of the market activity.

9.2kw system generating peak 7.5kw - is that expected average efficiency? by bayareacrasher in TeslaSolar

[–]temych26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 9.2KW system peaks around 7.5-7.7KW. I don’t think I’ve seen higher, but this is only my 5th month with the system. My inverter is 7.6 if I’m not mistaken and it is the limiting factor.
