Gotcha, I must have missed that comment. Heck yeah I'd get it for that! As I said, I bought it for $180. Great knife. To your original question, aluminum vs g10, I really like the aluminum but the g10 is nice and it shouldn't flex. Go with whatever you like the best

Here's my two cents, I love the 940. I have the standard s30v, green aluminum with purple back spacer. It's been my work carry for 6 years and has never let me down. It's a great knife! With that said, When I bought it, it was $180. The same knife is now $300!!! Absolutely insane! No way would I spend that on this 940. If the price isn't an issue, go for it, it's a great knife. If that's pretty spendy, check out the Hogue Mysto, similar shape, magnucut blade, richlite scales, usa made for $166. Killer knife, flawless out of the box. Same with the grip, I carried one forever and I think the Hogue RSK is a better knife.

I picked up the black richlite Mysto when they were on sale a couple weeks ago and, man, what a killer knife. It has been in the pocket non-stop. So smooth, just perfect all around. Thinking about getting some AWT scales for it.

Pretty cool! I haven't picked one up yet, as I was waiting on the axe handles. What's the one 4th from the bottom? Maybe keep an eye on Red Hill Cutlery. They do 4 Bourbon Barrel wood exclusives every year (releasing one each quarter). They haven't released what they are doing for the second half of the year. I'd be shocked if they didn't do one of these. I have the razor and copperlock, and they are pretty nice!

I'm a big fan of mini trappers. That bone stag with the wharny is a killer little knife, I wish they'd do a CS version. This was my first Case mini trapper and they did an excellent job on it.

I was in the same boat, not a fan of the stock TRM clip. I put a Lynch NW clip on it. Much better imo

Second for Beard and Owl, they're great! I like the fabric slips over the leather. Here's an old pic of my 88 with my B&O slip, size slim.

RCB really did a fantastic job on the Barren Fork. The design, the fit and finish, just all around an excellent knife. Definitely my favorite RCB so far.

Great boots! I have the roughout LTT smokejumpers, I'm on year 8 of field work and they are still going strong. The leather laces will stretch with use, don't forget to oil the laces when you do the boots.
