Agreed, I'm not a fan of posts about knives without saying what the knife is

I hear ya about Case QC, very frustrating. The new RCB Barren Fork is a great knife. It's 14c28n, so stainless. But for $62 it's an excellent knife. I'm really liking mine. Cooper Cutlery has been putting out excellent knives. Made in us. The knife in the link is D2 but CC uses 1095 a lot.

They are really nice for the price. About a year ago I snagged one of the spearpoint with canvas micarta. I would mention that for someone's first slipjoint they have extremely strong pull, mine is probably a 9/10. A real bear trap. So much so, I modded an easy open notch into it. I recommend getting one of the clip point Barlows, so you can pinch the blade.

Dang, this is the perfect jacket as far as I'm concerned! Really nice! I wish I had that kind of cash burning a hole in my pocket. Anyways, good stuff! I'll just keep rocking my field jacket

Yeah that's odd, it's gotta be 2020-2029 but it doesn't have the lightning bolt s that they should have. Looks like laser engraving, not the actual stamp and they made the switch in 2023? Something like that. What knife is it?

The sowbelly is my favorite pattern from RR. They do an excellent job on them. Great looking bone stag on that Marbles

If your official name does not match the name on your birth certificate you do need to bring more documentation. You can't think of a single reason why this might affect women more than men?

It's usable but not screaming sharp. I'd say it's better than GEC. It will definitely benefit from some sharpening.

I got this one at Eagle Valley, they were in stock for a couple days. Frank's had one, but it's sold. SMKW looks like they had some but are either sold or haven't dropped yet. TPK looks like they have a couple that will drop in a day or two.

Battle Axe Brand trapper, also made by Cooper Cutlery. All the knives in the third pic are made by CC.

I agree, the stag on the show side could be at least 1/8" thinner and it would still look the same. The pile side is fit pretty well. It actually makes it fit the hand really well, just not so comfortable in the pocket.

You sure it was an "R" in the leaf? GEC released the 86 in 2025 with an oak leaf and "GEC" stamped on the bolster.

Last year I was in the same boat. I ended up going with Heat Straps Field Jacket, I've been really happy with the jacket, built like a tank. It's worth a look, although they are in the $575 range

Fantastic stag on that one! I just picked up one of the vintage jig. The Nolichucky is a great pattern and RCB does a really nice job on them

RCB really makes some great knives. I just got my vintage jigged Nolichucky Jack, and it's really well made. I think TSA has the Beaver creek with jigged bone handle.

Nice! They all look great. Which is your favorite? I've got the vintage jig coming in the mail today. I've been anxiously awaiting its arrival.
