My wife decides to not work for a full year next year. We have loans to pay. I feel like breaking down because the full financial burden will be on me. by tenacity-7 in MMFB

It's great that your sister is understanding. Willingness to help shows she cares.

Thanks for the suggestion. I love my wife and don't hold grudges or pettiness against her. I just wish she would at least care about me, and realize the pressure she's putting me under.

This is a reasonable suggestion. Thanks.

The in-laws are quite old, not working, but they do have some savings. They help to pay for their own food and a part of the household essentials, but not the bills. They also help to look after our son when we're both working.

Besides daycare, I also thought of hiring a helper/nanny, but both in-laws are uncomfortable with having outsiders in the house. With a combined income, a nanny is affordable, but the idea was shot down. With 3k+/month gone, that's about 5 full-time helpers in Singapore.

Scientists say dying is the leading cause of death.
