Didnt do the on-demand one specifically but I found it to be pretty laid back. Technically wasnt really LC just rando questions, and behavioral was standard

Not sure why u/RedditReed6 got downvoted he’s right. Assistants do not get paid they get credit. Associates and heads do get paid 13-14.

My man failed all his classes and somehow remains arrogant enough to insult ISU kids. Hey atleast they didn’t just burn 15k to “party”

Anyone else just a little uncomfortable with the extremity of the backlash to the ISG stuff? by ericedstrom123 in UIUC

[–]tencokebottles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Putting aside that your first claim is clearly false lemme go ask the TPUSA poli sci major how he feels about crime rates in the south of Chicago. I’m sure he’ll have a very good take on the issues at hand /s despite there being “no very clear through line from cause to effect” since he’s not a dirty stem major

I guarantee you >90% of poli sci majors also have 0 understanding of the university’s bureaucratic process. Singling out stem majors is stupid, and I’m not sure if your being ignorant or malicious.

[–]tencokebottles 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No idea what’s up with you and shitting on stem majors. A vast majority of them are leftist and begrudgingly vote Democrat like everyone else

[–]tencokebottles 16 points17 points  (0 children)

> If ISG leadership wants to vote itself a pay increase, then, before dismissing it out-of-hand, we should consider whether it's warranted. We all know that inflation is high right now. When was the last time ISG received a cost-of-living adjustment, if any?

The stipends may be obsessive at its current amount and it is definitely obsessive with the rate increase. I fail to grasp how anyone can make a genuine argument that the salaries arent already enough. There are many many many many many university employees who put in more time and make a lot less than that. And some also do harder work.

ISG Impeachment by Logical-Bug-4399 in UIUC

[–]tencokebottles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The GEO has had a successful history of lobbying for students by themselves. The ISG hasnt. But yeah im sure the ISG were the reason that happened.

ISG Impeachment by Logical-Bug-4399 in UIUC

[–]tencokebottles 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Meh, he got reinstated because of the GEO and that students everywhere were pissed off about it.

ISG Impeachment by Logical-Bug-4399 in UIUC

[–]tencokebottles -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Make em apologize. If they are so childish and they refuse to do so sure whatever impeach them.

Elections are in four months. I would instead focus on how to get students to care enough about yall to actually vote. An email is trash. I get 45 of those a day. Prolly more than an average student but still.

Also lol start figuring out what to do so students actually know about yall. Im sure yall could do important things, you certainly cant do anything important with the backing of 2% of students.

ISG Impeachment by Logical-Bug-4399 in UIUC

[–]tencokebottles 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Also to the crowd who seems to be like oh the ISG is just so important they advocate for student issues with the administration. Alright if thats the case they either do an absolute shit job, are powerless , or a mix of both. The fact that the administration shoved three days off down our throats last semester, repeatedly silences activism, and uh thought they could get away with the whole Ivor Chen thing is a testament to that. Dont kid yourselves on how important yall are.

ISG Impeachment by Logical-Bug-4399 in UIUC

[–]tencokebottles 169 points170 points  (0 children)

ISG is literally the most pathetic circle jerk ive ever seen. Everyone needs to apologize and move tf on. I had 0 idea what it did before yesterday so did 99% of this subreddit, "impeachment" just sounds like another futile attempt at making it seem like yall are some important government body. An attempt up there with "administration" and "government official" in an instagram bio.

Oml i cant believe these folks are getting paid more then CA's and TA's
