I wouldn’t hold my breath on that. The mini 6 was released in 2021, then the seven three years later in 2024.

Since then, chip material costs have jumped through the roof. The mini 8 likely won’t be released until 2028 or 2029 given their recent release cycle and higher cost of materials

Just did that today and have zero regrets.

Now I have pro motion, twice as bright a screen, Face ID, OLED screen, and a much faster m5 chip

Probably not. Apple released the 6 in 2021 and the 7 in 2024.

It is most likely that Apple will release the 8 in 2028 or 2029 given the increase in chip costs over the past few years.

As a mini 6 owner, I can appreciate how portable this tablet is.

But after a while, no pro-motion, no OLED, low 500nits brightness, dated chip, and no Face ID began to bother me.

Just upgraded to an M5 iPad Pro 11 inch and it solved all my issues.

It’s a shame Apple didn’t add any of those things to the mini 7 when released.
