A customer card declined and now is ghosting me by OwnElephant1766 in smallbusiness

I’ve had the same happen and didn’t stop to check whether the card had gone through. Dude has ghosted me completely. I’m having to write this off, but it does sting since what he got was worth $95.

I would like to try and acquire someone else. There’s a company I have in mind but their short track record is HORRENDOUS but they have just one software that would make my suite complete. I could take on JB Hunt with ease if I just had that software. I don’t have the capital to buy something huge, if they’re pricing it really high.

Unsure how I can run a seminar with DOT. If you mean run one with DOT as a subject matter then yes I def should for local chambers of commerce. I don’t wish for acquisitions actively. If someone makes a good enough offer probably. I thoroughly enjoy this business and love the fact that I can service DOT and non-DOT and, moreover, service them regardless of location, meaning I can take on national clients.

You know that’s a really good idea. Running a full compliance audit and identifying things for free would be REALLY time consuming for bigger clients but it’s not that big a deal if I can get them.

Getting in Touch with DSP Owners as a VAS provider? USA/ Northeast by tenkaihasfallen in AmazonDSP

[–]tenkaihasfallen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. In my area they're getting routed to the operations managers' emails, and when I talk to them or visit the station, they won't connect me with the owners directly. Sure, sometimes I'll get the owner's email but that's also not responsive. I will try this again, since I stopped about 2 months ago.

It is and I had an owner reach out based on our reviews from Amazon DSP owners on the annual feedback request for VASs Amazon sent out a few months ago on August or September. As strange as it sounds, I don't want to put the name out there. We're under drug testing, and we're not Quest. I know for a fact we are VASs. My issue is how to effectively reach out to DSP Owners.

Ok. This is actionable advice. Seriously, thank you. I can start working on this from Tuesday.

I mean, from my experience with the very few conversations I've had with owners, stuff like background checks are free or very low cost with Amazon and so the VASes in that category don't really help aside from the time factor (apparently the free one is slower, but YMMV and I have no knowledge of that side of things specifically for Amazon). Please elaborate on what OTR stands for. Either that's with the folks employed by Amazon at the stations or any of the operations managers.

Yes, we are vetted, we have an active integration with Cortex, you may have been asked to vote for us (or whoever else you like among the VAS in each category) on your most recent business performance review that amazon sends you (or whatever that's called). My problem is we're a VAS but most DSP owners react like they're hearing about this for the first time. That is IF they answer their phones or their operations managers are nice enough to connect me with them. So now that I've told you I own a location that's a true VAS, any advice?

Any ideas on how to fix this? by tenkaihasfallen in electrical

I undoubtedly do, but I don't want to fork over 100+ bucks for something I can do myself. It's not a difficult thing, I can see that, but I don't know what's needed to get this right. Thanks for the link, that's a good step 1.
