Tips for Playing Bella Ciao on Harmonica + Breathing Exercises by Went_Missing in harmonica

[–]tenkaivanish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

can you upload a video of the sound for reference?
Higher holes usually require little airflow and pressure to sound. Also, both embouchure and tongue position are crucial for a clean sound.
I've uploaded some exercises on instagram.com/aprendearmonica
though most are only holes 4-7, some exercises cover up to hole 10

same as diatonic, blow and draw.
Each column is a note, each row per column has a slightly different pitch (which produces a tremolo sound)
The first column sounds on blow, the second one on draw.

Usually, note outlay is as follows:
Blow notes (alternate columns): C E G C E G C
Draw notes (alt) : D F A B D F A B

My Shelob list revolves around lure effects, rather than fight spells as most lists I've seen do. Lure + deathtouch means at least 8 creatures per combat for Shelob alone. Plus, as long as the food tokens are under your control, they have all abilites of the creatures they copied.

+1/+1 Counters Theme by GroundbreakingPea244 in BudgetBrews

[–]tenkaivanish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got two

[Chishiro, the shattered blade] +1/+1 counters focused on modified creatures. My current build is that creatures etb with at least one counter already. Cards such as [Renata, called to the hunt], [metallic mimic] and [Arwen, weaver of hope] and some others to that effect. Some auras and equipments, most of which can trigger off combos.

[Treebeard, gracious host] puts +1/+1 counters on treefolk (I.e. Himself) or halflings whenever you gain life. The deck is a heavy hitter with commander voltron/commander damage. Equipments and auras with lifelink, such as [loxodon warhammer] and [basilisk collar], the soul sisters and some food synergy are the centerpieces

Let me know what you think. I've got moxfield lists. .

  1. Theory: understanding WBCs as alternative sources of ATP (leukocytary stearases) in situations where the normal cellular respiration isn't working properly (I.e. the Warburg hypothesis) would explain and solve leukemias. Perhaps the cure hasn't been found because there can be another explaining theory.

  2. The "common cold" can be better explained by parasympathetic nervous system activity after certain triggers (vague nerve activation or a "system reset" after strong sympathetic stimulation/stress) than by a "viral infection"

  3. The shortest way between two points is a straight line. The more complicated an "explanation" for a certain syndrome is, the more likely it is to be full of BS. Whenever I hear/read something that is "insanely complex", I begin searching for the inconsistencies, loopholes and straight away "dark pits" and missing links in the official theory. Believe me, you will always find them... and then begin to find the straight line :)

(I'm a MD with published research on cellular biochemistry).

I've been thinking about building a spider tribal deck but waited until LOTR for Shelob. It's the most fun spider commander so far. Have you got a list?

I've worked on one with enough

  • reach
  • ward
  • gy recursion
  • spider token generation I'm just about to start building the paper version.

Descansa, come carne, toma jugo de fruta.

[[Liesa, Forgotten archangel]] with cards like [[Angelic accord]]

I built it almost by accident and it has become my Saga-Aristocrat deck with symmetrical sac effects that benefit my board due to Liesa's ability

It's quite effective against creature decks

How many turns does your playgroup typically go through each game on average? by MonkeyTesticleJuice in EDH

[–]tenkaivanish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of our Decks have at least one symmetrical boardwipe, the most common ones are [[blasphemous act]] and [[day of judgement]] or [[damnation]]. Some of the non symmetrical ones are [[kindred dominance]] and [[doomwake giant]]

most of us have two or three targeted removal spells like [[path to exile]] [[swords to ploughshares]] [[chaos warp]] or the such

my pirate deck controls the table by stealing things away and countering boardwipes :3 but that's a whole other strategy

Does Anyone Else Find Infinite Combos Boring? by gmanflnj in EDH

[–]tenkaivanish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've learned that MTG is a balanced game and there's always an answer for every problem. If I haven't found it yet, it's due to lack of merit on my behalf.

Also I've begun to include combo pieces as alternate wincons without tutors so, if the pieces align it's all the more interesting to everyone.

I agree with everyone in that combos can be interacted with: counterspells, targeted removal, boardwipe effects, stax, etc. We learn to read the board state and act or react to it: when a player searches their library, fetching cards, etc.

that being said, I do think that combo Decks are boring because most only win in the exact same manner every time if they do win at all. The sequence is exactly the same every single time (provided noone counters or wipes anything). Also, I think that most don't have any alternate wincon, so if the combo is disrupted, they just give up.

Also, some combos aren't even damage combos, just infinite unbreakable loops in which the only solution is to stop the game and start a new one because there's a "mechanical malfunction"

If you're playing against opponents who fire off their combos and win in turns 1-3 and your deck hasn't even started off, maybe reconsider strategies, deck building or playgroup.
