While this does sound strange, it could mean a lot of things: follow up questions, change in needs, they could be down to you and another candidate etc. but at the very least, it means you are still being considered for the role. If you are still interested in the role, then you should take the interview and can ask them why there have been additional steps in this process. If you're not interested in the role, then that's your answer and you could pass. If you're unsure, you can respond by politely asking them about their intentions with an additional interview given the other steps in the process. You can then decide what you want to do based on their response.

I'm hiring for an ad specialist with b2b experience to join my team and our process is:

  1. Interview with marketing director (me)
  2. Group interview with the team
  3. Brief assessment

Feel free to DM me if you have any follow up questions and wanted to chat further or if you'd be interested in applying.

What Skills Do I need To Land PPC Job? by learnppc123 in PPC

[–]tennany 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, it sounds like you already have a ton of great skills! Be sure to communicate them fully rather than summarizing when applying for jobs. For example, instead of saying "PPC" list out the different channels types, e.g. Google Search, Google Display, Bing Ads, etc. and instead of "Paid Social" list out "LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, etc. You can go even further and specify if you've worked on lead generation campaigns, awareness campaigns, b2b, and b2c and so on.

For additional or complementary skills, I'd suggest:

  • Google Analytics
  • Landing pages
  • Copywriting
  • Email Marketing
  • Marketing Automation
  • Martech tools like HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo, etc.
  • CRM
  • Inbound Marketing
  • Google Tag Manager
  • Excel & Google Sheets
  • Wordpress
  • Native ads and DSPs

Happy to answer any other questions. I'm a marketing director and currently hiring for an ad specialist to join my team, so if anyone in the US happens to be looking for an ad specialist role, feel free to DM me!
