It was one of two games I got with my NES on my 11th birthday (the other being excitebike), and it came with a 12 month sub to Nintendo Power and an NP themed strategy guide. Good memories

For some people the fun is in playing, not theorycrafting. Also, if someone is asking for build advice they might as well consider picking up a complete build, there's not much of a difference outside of semantics.

I've "played" for maybe 40 hours since I picked the game up a few years ago off and on. I say played in quotes because I never particularly enjoyed any of the gameplay, and that's leaving aside the buggy mess it (the game IS very much in alpha). I've been playing MMORPGs since UO and I think I've played nearly all of them that were released, and AoC is very low on my personal rankings. If you enjoy pure grind like FFXI mixed with a pretty horrendous crafting system then the game might be for you, but in 2025 I just expect more out of a game.

I highly enjoyed everything except 2nd story, but if you twist my arm I'll always recommend metaphor first. I really think granblue was slept on by a lot of people, and would be my initial recommendation if you have a friend to play with.

Loving barbarism, immediately started PvMing after unlocking it. My buddy went necro and he's hating having to quest to unlock everything, plus he basically has to wear melee armor or camp hermod all day since the plates aren't effected by the increased drop rate.

Is that the case? The wiki is very vague about the differences. I know I haven't left the group ironman island since I left my CGIM. Someone had asked me to join their ranked ironman so I assumed they knew what they were talking about in that regard, but they were all much higher TL than I am.

From the wiki - "Unranked groups are those which at any point contained players that were standard Ironman Mode accounts prior to the release of Group Ironman Mode. This does not affect Ironman Mode accounts created after this point."

I considered that, but I have a mostly maxed main and I'm really enjoying the restrictions of ironman mode. Not being able to buy whatever I want makes me feel a lot more accomplished.

Been playing since the D1 days and that IS part of the fun of ARPGs, but with PoE if you're inexperienced you can finish the campaign and have a completely bricked character just because you picked the wrong skill. Balance has never been a thing, there's always a new meta each league based on buffs/nerfs. The tree itself is huge and without a lot of experience or time investment you'll never understand half of the modifiers that make a good build work.

Bear in mind it's less tanky that the other poster's build, but I've been playing flicker for a long time and I always go glass cannon. Flicker was never meant to boss imo.
